Tranquillina was speeding along, trailing behind the Ravenclaw chasers. Kody scored for Ravenclaw, and to add insult to injury (or injury to insult), all of a sudden Tranq was caught unaware.
"Aiii!" Tranquillina cried, loosing her balance. In her haste to catch up with the others she had completely overlooked the bludger Fritz had sent her way. She drew in a deep breath and tried to regain her composure. She rubbed her shoulder a bit as one of the Gryffindor beaters came over, and hit the bludger off towards a Ravenclaw team member.
"Sorry," the beater said. Tranquillina said that she would live, not to worry, and set about righting herself on her broom. Resituated she looked around to get her bearings. Ron had sent the ball back into play, and it looked like Orieliah had the quaffle. Turning in their direction, Tranq headed back for the game.
Ravenclaw Rules!
Author: Coco Nutt
Date: 08-11-04 07:33
Coco pumps her bat up and down out of sheer happiness. Ravenclaw has fifty points to Gryffindor's thirty. Now if Emma would just hurry up and get that snitch!
Coco, seeing that Orie McCoi now has the quaffle, gets her mind back on to helping her team to victory by sending a bludger sailing towards the Gryffindor. The bludger connects with the quaffle, sending it out of Orie's hand. Kody is on the spot to catch the quaffle, pulls a sharp 180 degree turn and heads back towards the opposing goals. Giving a whoop, Coco follows, her eyes tracking the other bludger so that she can intercept it and send at any Gryffindor who tries to stop Kody.
Frustration

Kody suddenly had control of the quaffle and (with great frustration) Tranquillina spun around to see if by some miracle she could intercept it. Kody tossed it to a Ravenclaw chaser, who then proceeded to toss it back to Kody. Tranquillina was terribly close to intercepting it, but missed by a second. Only a moment later something went whizzing by, and was sent on a different course by Annie Paul. It was then Tranq realized it was a bludger, and realized that the darned thing was out to get her! She held her breath, hoping Kody wouldn't score.
Official Declaration of Hatred
Author: Emma Crusher
Date: 08-11-04 14:47
Both Harry and Emma spotted it at the same time, just as Kody was about to make Ravenclaw's 6th goal. The two seekeres darted after it, side by side, both trying to outrun the other. However, even as they came within snatching distance, a bludger came onto the scene, darting through the small space between the speeding seekers and their tiny, golden prey.
The two of them jumped backwards - only slightly, but it was enough to give the snitch a chance to dart once more out of sight.
Emma turned and glared after the offending bludger until it made contact with Fritz' bat, sending it towards one of the Griffindor's chasers. 'I officially hate those things,' She muttered to Harry as they both rose above the pitch to once more resume the search.
Talk about a stroke of improbability!
Deduction and Dedication to One's Craft

"Now, obviously as Vanderbilt has suggested, you must be under some kind of charm which prevents you talking too much. Most of what you've given us could technically be figured out anyway, dear Weasley. Which leaves only one thing a Fidelius charm. Now I've always understood that this charm would only hide a person, rather than a secret itself. Whoever put you under a charm like this is good. I wouldn't put it past Bumbledore to sort this out."
Bellatrix paced backwards and forwards, ignoring the gaze of Charlie who was without meaning to following her every word as she tried to explain things. As she paced she fiddled with a long hat pin. It was almost as long as her forearm and had been put to good use already.
"Although," she mused, "this definitely has a Snape feel about it. If he wasn't on our side I'd wonder " She gave herself a mental shake. "So, we have your parents, my darling cousin Tonks, Dumbledore, and now you've implicated Kingsley Shacklebolt and surprisingly Minerva McGonagall. You know I'm quite surprised I wouldn't have said the old bird was up to it."
"Go to hell. You won't get anything further out of me!" The effort this cost Weasley was too much his head fell forward onto his chest and he was gasping for breath.
"There, there!" Bellatrix put her hand gently on Charlie's wrist. "We can't have you fainting on us again, can we? And Vanderbilt will be back later! We want you in good health when we start implanting all those wonderful new memories you're going to have. In fact, we're even going to convince you that you might have overheard someone's name. That should cause quite the surprise!"
Patting the HG once more on the wrist, Bellatrix drove the pin right through his forearm and out the other side.
Watching and Writing
Author: Bill Weasley

In the Gryffindor stands, for a Weasley would be in no other place, sat Bill, Briar and baby Grace. They watched the game with avid interest and shouted out words of encouragement, particularly the several times Ron missed the Ravenclaw goal-attempts. Grace clapped her hands happily and smiled, simply cheerful because the people around her were cheerful too.
About halfway through the match, Bill removed a piece of blank parchment from his pocket, followed by a tiny well of ink and a small quill. Briar looked at him curiously with one eyebrow raised. "What are you doing?"
Bill grinned. "I'm going to write to Charlie and tell him what he's missing. This could be Gryffindor's last match of the year--Ron's last match--Charlie should be here."
"He hasn't been home since..."
"Too long," Bill said, somewhat solemnly. "I hope he'll come down for Fred's wedding, though I can imagine that his memories of the last Weasley wedding--Charlie's own--are still fresh on his mind." Bill looked up from what he'd already written and said, "He was always like that. Very sensitive about particular things." He looked down and mumbled, "What a debacle that was!" He was, of course, referring to Charlie's almost-wedding to Helena Tufton.
His mind now on the deceased woman, Bill wondered if anyone would ever determine the identity of her killer.
Score!
Author: Kody
Date: 08-11-04 20:32
Kody's wrist snaps back and he releases the quaffle. Ron lunges for it and has it only to lose it when a well placed bludger courtesy of Fritz catches Ron at the elbow. The impact causes the Gryffindor keeper to lose his grip but luckily the bludger doesn't hit hard enough to damage the joint. As Ron rubs the joint, Bronwyn can be heard announcing, "Reese-Emerson scores again! Ravenclaw 60, Gryffindor 30!"
Professor Krum ends up retrieving the quaffle and tossing it back into the game. Orie takes possession and immediately streaks away only to be hit by a bludger. The quaffle flies free for all of two seconds before it's snapped up by Tranq. Kody, dodging around other players and one of the bludgers aimed his way, tries to catch up. A glance behind him lets him know Ariana and Martin are on his tail to assist and Ginny and Orie are rapidly gaining ground to reach their teammate to give any assistance she might need. Drake positions himself to block in case Tranq attempts to score again.

As Martin tries to steal the quaffle from Tranq she passes off to Orie. Coco hits a bludger towards Orie but Brett intercepts it. He sends it spinning on a curved course for Drake. Seeing this, Orie times her goal attempt with when the bludger hits Drake. Their teamwork pays off as the bludger forces Drake to move slightly to the side, allowing Orie to throw the quaffle out of his reach with him not being able to recover in time from the bludger blow. Brett grins as Orie winks at him. Drake, now favoring one arm, tosses the quaffle back into play while Bronwyn Dewhurst calls out, "McCoi scores. Gryffindor with 40 points trails Ravenclaw with 60."
At the Game
Author: Majandra
Date: 08-12-04 10:27
Majandra cheers because the Gryffindors around her are cheering. She's tried to follow the game but she's been feeling a little down the past few days. The first has been George's birthday and as much as she'd been tempted to sneak out of school through the tunnel that leads to Honeydukes' basement then apparate to see George, she'd resisted. In fact, in a letter from George that morning he'd written he knew she was thinking of it but she was not to do any such thing. Graduation is too close for her to ruin all she's worked so hard to achieve.
Majandra had had to make due with sending his present and a letter and being glad that George had his parents, older brothers, Fred, and Blossom to celebrate with. Well, older brothers in the form of Percy and Bill anyway. According to an owl from Blossom, the twins were both surprised and disappointed when Charlie didn't so much as send birthday wishes. Knowing he's been working alone in some remote, isolated areas everyone concluded that Charlie simply hadn't been able to get away in time to owl anything off. Any day now he'll probably send belated wishes and an explanation.
Lavender Brown hitting Majandra's shoulders in aggitation bring her attention back to the game. Lavender suddenly puts Maj's shoulders in a death grip as she exclaims, "There's the snitch but Harry doesn't see it." The entire stand of Gryffindors begins screaming at Harry until Seamus yells at them to shut it because by pointing out the snitch to Harry they're also pointing it out to Emma!
Sweet
Author: Ginny Weasley
Date: 08-12-04 11:48
Ginny turns to look at one stand full of Gryffindors as they all frantically call to Harry. The entire stand goes eerily quiet and many have oddly guilty expressions on their face. Wondering what it was all about Ginny swings around to join Orie and Tranquillina as they maneuver to steal the quaffle from the Ravenclaw chasers.
As she turns, Ginny catches sight of Theodore Nott in the front row of a stand filled mainly with Slytherins. She smiles and gives a slight wave while thinking that the more she gets to know Theodore, the more she's convinced the Sorting Hat made a mistake. He's nothing like the others in his house and certainly nothing like his odious Lucius Malfoy toady of a father. Why, what other Slytherin would trust Ginny to do his homework even though she's a sixth year to his seventh?
As Ginny zooms in to intercept a pass between Kody and Martin, her last thought of Theodore until she catches another look at him is how sweet and utterly charming he is.
Crystals for the Plants
Author: Ellspeth

Ellspeth wandered here and there for a moment looking for a few of the articles that would be handy for the greenhouse. She had always added crystals here and there and several different stones to pots and planters. It was just something she did.
She found several containers of stones, crystals and other items needed for her shoppe. Carefully testing and gathering a basketful, she slowly walked to the counter to pay for them.
A distinguished gentleman with long white hair and beard finally walked out from the back.
"May I help you?" he said.
"How are you doing this fine day, Nevvyn?" Ellspeth said with a smile. "Looks as though you are keeping yourself busy. I just need a few things for the shoppe and will be on my way. I've picked a few stones, crystals and a few more items for some spells I have been working on. Here is my basket."
She quickly placed the items on the counter as Nevvyn rang up the purchases.
"How are things going for you. Have you been keeping up on the current Quidditch Match? How is it coming?........"
Back and Forth
Author: Fritz Schnackenpfefferhausen

Lucky for Gryffindor, Ginny successfully intercepts the quaffle from Kody. She immediately high-tails it in the opposite direction. Fritz, desperate to stop her from getting far, chases after a nearby bludger. By the time its in reach, Ginny is already at the goals prepping to make her goal attempt. Calculating to the second, Fritz takes careful aim and then watches as the bludger knocks Ginny's quaffle off-course.
Ariana is quick to snatch up the ball. She zooms off towards the other end of the pitch, tossing the quaffle to Kody along the way. He passes to Martin, who throws it back to Ariana and so on. Their movements are too fast, making it difficult for any spectator to follow.
Fritz dips into the fray to block a bludger intended for Martin and sends the ball in the direction of the seekers, hoping it hits Harry and not Emma. He doesn't stick around to find out because another bludger threatens to prevent Ravenclaw from scoring again. Once again throwing himself into the pack of chasers, Fritz's club makes contact with the ball, knocking it back from wherever it came from.
He turns his head just as a Ravenclaw chaser reaches the goal hoops...
Taking One for the Team

It's Martin with the quaffle, looking to score. A bludger aimed at him by Brett comes close to its mark but Coco throws herself in its path. There's not time to get in position to hit it with her bat and even if there was, she's too close to Martin to swing without hitting him.
Coco takes the bludger in the chest, sucking up the pain and happy to have taken the hit when she hears, "That's ten more for Ravenclaw. Great shot by Makepeace! Ravenclaw leads 70 to 40!"
GOOOO Gryffindor
Author: Natalie Rose
Date: 08-13-04 05:39
Natalie screamed as loud as she could to cheer on her fellow Gryffindors. She was sitting with Hermione and a few others and they were all goading their team on. She looked over towards the Ravenclaw section to find Terry and caught his attention. He smiled, waved, and mouthed out "We're going to win."
She laughed at him and turned back towards the game silently urging Harry to find the snitch. Natalie noticed Terry had been very awkward around her. Last week at the dueling club meeting he had taken her out of the Great Hall and told her to get her cloak because he wanted to take a walk around the grounds. Natalie complied and they were soon outside taking in the fresh air and beautiful lake. Terry kept on stumbling over his words and Natalie interrupted him trying to bring up something solid they could talk about so he wouldn't have to keep reaching for a topic. After she had changed the subject back to school work he seemed to deflate a little and finally was able to get out a sentence with out stumbling. She smiled thinking about how cute he had acted before she started talking about Potions, and looked back towards the sky concentrating on the red and gold clad players.
Snitch
Author: Harry Potter
Date: 08-13-04 13:02
Harry had heard one group of Gryffindors chanting his name only to go suddenly quiet. His eyes had flitted back and forth before spotting what had caused the commotion. Harry had shot forward after the golden speck but thanks to a bludger sent his way, the snitch alluded him again.
Harry doesn't catch sight of the snitch again until Ravenclaw is scoring its seventh goal. The winged ball appears before him so unexpectedly it's as if it apparated there. The snitch hovers just out of arm reach then takes off, Harry in hot pursuit.
Just as quickly, Emma is at his side attempting to cut Harry off and get the snitch for herself. They weave in and around the other players, dive only to go into a steep climb, both seekers leaning far over their brooms, arms extended. The snitch acts as though its teasing them, darting back and forth before them, always just a hair away from fingertips.
In a blink it's all over. Harry's not sure how it happened but he, not Emma, has got the snitch in a firm grip. Far below announcer Bronwyn Dewhurst cheerily announces, "Potter's got the snitch! Gryffindor wins with 190 points to Ravenclaw's 70. Great game everyone!"

Tranquillina did not hear the announcment and was confused when she saw her fellow Gryffindors shouting joyfully. She looked to Orieliah for help.
"We won!" She cried, and Tranquillina hugged her for joy (nearly falling off her broom, but nevertheless....).
Tranq looked to the Gryffindor stands and waved happily when she thought she saw Sora and Roane. Still giddy, she turned back to the other players.
Special Announcement
Author: Bronwyn Dewhurst
Date: 08-13-04 14:46
Gryffindor House was ecstatic. Fans jumped up and down for joy and high-fived each other; players held each other in warm embraces and laughed.
"What a great way to end the Quidditch season," Bronwyn announced, "but we all know it's not over just yet!"
Grins widened and heads swiveled around to catch the rest of the Quidditch commentator's speech. "Oh, yes! The Championship match is scheduled for one month from now, on Saturday, May 2nd! I am very proud and excited to announce that this year's match will be between Gryffindor..."
She paused to allow for the hysterical screaming that emanated throughout the stadium. When it died down she said, "and Slytherin!"
Although the Slytherin fans made up the smallest portion of the Pitch, their voices rang loud and clear over the boos and jeers from their opponents.
"Good luck to you both!" Bronwyn finished, "May the best team win!"
After the Game
Author: Sirius Padfoot Black

Hand in hand Dru and Sirius wait for Harry outside of the locker room. When his godson emerges, Sirius calls a greeting and motions for Harry to join them. After hellos are exchanged Sirius can't keep from grinning from ear to ear as he announces, "Harry, I've asked Drucilla to marry me and," Sirius pulls Dru's hand up for Harry to see her ring, "she's said yes!"
Harry looks startled for only a brief moment before he too breaks into a grin. Hugging first Dru and then Sirius he congratulates them. "Have you set a date yet?"
Sirius shakes his head no. "Not yet. We are looking at possible dates. You'll stand as my best man when we do settle on a date, won't you?"
"I'll be honored to, Sirius! Why don't you walk with me up to the castle and you two can tell me about any plans you do have set."
Sirius, one arm linked with Dru and one with Harry, continues grinning like a fool as they walk, giddishly happy to be able to share in person this great news.
