Author: Amerah Patterson
Date: 12-28-01 07:24
I take out my quill and write on the answers. I do fairly well, as I read carefully.
A1: You would be put into a deep
coma
A2: In the Bushes, deep in the forest
A3: No difference, they are both the same
********
Snape goes through them with a sneer, but then he reaches mine. "Miss Patterson," he says softly.
"Yes Professor?!"
"How did you get two of three right?! Did you cheat?"
"No, I did the reading and remembered the answer."
Snape merely snorts and goes through the rest of the quizzes.
Mishappenings
in Transfiguration
Author: Minerva McGonagall
Date: 12-28-01 01:43
McGonagall heard a collapse and a few screams as she was sitting at her desk, while the students were doing some quiet study.
She looked up and saw Ron and Hermione scrambling toward the ground.
"Harry, are you okay? Harry?!" Hermione asked, shaking him.
"Is there a problem...Oh, my!" McGonagall hurried over, and knelt over Harry. "Mr. Potter...wake up, dear."
Nothing.
She scooped him up. "All right, class dismissed, go directly to your next classes. I am taking Mr. Potter to the hospital wing."
McGonagall left the classroom, hurrying up to the hospital wing, Harry in her arms. Ron and Hermione tried to follow.
"Mr. Weasley, Miss Granger, I know you are concerned, but I told you to go directly to your next classes. Mr. Potter will be fine. Now, hurry along!"
And the two Fifth years moped off in the opposite direction, and McGonagall made her way to the hospital wing.
Harry to the
Hospital Wing
Author: Minerva McGonagall
Date: 12-28-01 01:52
"Madame Pomfrey!" McGonagall called out as she entered the Hospital Wing, laying Harry on one of the beds. "You have a patient!"
Madame Pomfrey came bustling over. "Oh, dear. What has happened?"
"I'm not too sure. I looked up and he passed out. That's what Mr. Weasley, erm, Rom, said, too. Will you revive him, and then maybe keep him for a while, just to see if he is all right?" Minerva asked the hospital woman.
"Yes. Yes, of course I will. You can go back to your class, Minerva. The lad will be fine. Thank you for bringing him."
And Madame Pomfrey busied herself to revive Harry, and give him some purplish colored medicine that she retrieved from the cupboard.
McGonagall watched a moment longer, and then headed back to her classroom for her next class.
Questions
Author: Samantha Thatcher
Date: 12-28-01 03:36
The two headed to the Runes classroom engaged in conversation.
"So Samantha, what have you been up to? How's your brother?" Sorcha asked.
"Oh he's fine. I got a letter from 'im taday, but I have yet to read it." Sammi grinned.
Sorcha arched a brow. "Oh? And does this have anything to do with those two boys you were with? For a moment there I thought you..." She stopped herself smiling. "Nevermind."
Samantha looked at her in interest. "What?"
The teacher waved it off. "It's nothing honest!"
Catching her drift, Samantha gave her a dose of her own medicine. "Fine 'en. An', ah...wot's this I 'ear 'bou' you and the new DADA teacher. eh? You two datin' now, hmm?"
Sorcha stopped dead in her tracks and Samantha tried her very hardest to not laugh...to no avail... "Ummm, no. No, where did you hear such a thing?" she stated walking again.
Samantha grinned following her friend. "A li'le burdy told me...It's been going around the school yeh know, Christina." She chuckled some more.
"Well, I don't know who started those rumors, but it's going to have to stop! They are not true!"
"Okay, okay...I believe yeh, lass! Cool it. I'll do somethin' 'bou' it alrigh'? No one starts rumors 'abou' m'self OR m'friends!" Samantha said while entering the classroom. For they had now arrived.
"Thank you Sam...! If anyone can do that I know you can." She smiled.
"Say, by the way, how was your last class, eh?" Samantha asked before finding a seat.
Transfigurations
Class 9-10 AM
Author: Isolde
Date: 12-28-01 03:59
Isolde, Azaelia, and Pyrrhus made their way to Transfiguration while discussing Professor Trelawney's latest ramblings on tea leaves.
"Can you believe that woman?" Isolde asked with a laugh as she flipped some of her blonde hair over her shoulder.
Pyrrhus stared, clearing his throat, "She's mad, she is."
"I'm surprised Dumbledore would hire such a loon!" Azaelia added.
The three Slytherin friends entered the Transfiguration classroom and took seats on the right side of the room. Hufflepuff students were steadily filling in on the left side. Professor McGonagall entered swiftly and took her seat behind the great desk positioned in the front of the classroom. Lines of worry creased her face as she sat there, appearing to be deep in thought.
"I wonder what she's thinking about," Isolde pondered aloud.
Azaelia quipped, "I bet her first class didn't go too well."
Pyrrhus yawned, causing Isolde and Azaelia to yawn too.
"Yawning is contagious, I tell you," Isolde laughed. She then turned her attention to Professor McGonagall, who began to speak.
Mystery
Author: Hermione Granger
Date: 12-28-01 04:22
Hermione frowned as she and Ron rushed down the grand hallways of Hogwarts Castle. "I wish he would have just told me what was bothering him instead of putting it off until another time. And see what happened? He's landed himself in the hospital wing!"
"Madam Pomfrey will fix him right up, you needn't worry yourself too much," Ron said, trying to calm his friend down.
"I knew something was the matter with him. I just knew it!" Hermione said, clenching her hands into little fists. "At first, I thought he was just jealous that I was prefect, which is an absolutely ridiculous thing to be jealous of. You aren't jealous of me, are you, Ron?" She hardly gave him enough time to answer before continuing to speak. "Our next class isn't until after lunch. We should go to the library and do some research on what is ailing Harry." She turned abruptly in order to head in the direction of the library.
"But Hermione," Ron began, grabbing ahold of her arm in order to stop her. "We know what's ailing Harry."
"We do?" Hermione asked, tapping her foot impatiently. "Well, out with it. What's ailing Harry?"
"It's always the same thing. You-Know-Who. That's who's ailing him."
"That's absurd," Hermione stated flatly. "Well, it's not absurd but I don't think he'd keep something like that from us. We've been fighting alongside Harry against You-Know-Who since we got here. He'd tell us if it were that simple."
Ron shrugged, "But this kind of thing has happened before. Last year his scar started hurting...Why? Voldemort."
A few students walking nearby gasped as they overheard Ron say the V-word.
"Who else has such power over Harry?" Ron asked, lowering his voice.
Hermione shrugged, "I don't know, but we need to find out. Let's go to the library. I'm sure we'll find something there."
Ron nodded and together, the two friends marched to the library in an attempt to solve Harry's problem.
Charms and
Charms
Author: Lilah Baldwyn
Date: 12-28-01 07:31
The morning was cold and wisps of frosty mists rose from the ground outdoors, staining the windows with carefully woven patterns belonging to the clashes of cold and the much wanted... much needed warmth of that morning. Of course, the inhabitants of Hogwarts all cursed the weather, amongst many other things, that morning as they all struggled to make their way to the first class of the day in through the icy, detached corridors of Hogwarts.
"Hurry up, Adam!" Lilah exclaimed impatiently when he had stopped before a classroom. "We wouldn't want to break last year's record of number of tardies do we? And yes it is possible to break 46!"
"Yeah... um..." Adam said clearly mesmerized by something.
"What?"
"I'll catch up!"
"Oooh! What is it?" Lilah said perking up before scrambling over toward where Adam stood staring.
As predicted, Professor Sorcha was there. She was perched carelessly, but relaxed upon a large desk casually thumbing through a book before she lifted her gaze. As her eyes fell upon Adam in the hall, her cheeks flushed as if the heat were making up for lost time that morning.
"Good morning," She said lightly with a touch a timidly after an awkward concerto of brimming silence.
"Good morning!" Lilah perkily called back before nudging Adam. "Say, 'Good morning.' " She hissed.
"Uh..." Adam started, still staring blankly at Christina in a silent wave of awe and struggle to look away.
"Come on!" Lilah said looking around. "We're going to be late!"
"Hi!" He managed to say before choking in a rush of tension and scrambled thoughts.
"We've really got to run, Professor." Lilah blurted as the two continued to stare shamelessly at each other.
"Hmm? Oh yes... yes.. of course!" Christina said smiling awkwardly back.
"Bye! See you when we see you!" Lilah called while she dragged Adam away.
The two rushed up the stairs toward Charms in a deafening song of silence. This, as many things, became unbearable for Lilah who started to laugh uncontrollably.
"What was that whole scene about, Adam?" She smirked playfully. "A little... say, tense wasn't it? I would say kind of like the effect of strong and dramatic feelings, hmm?"
"Shut up!" Adam blurted before looking down at his shoes, blushing furiously. "I don't know what you're talking about!"
"Oh come on! Yesterday, during Runes..." Lilah stopped for a break of air and time to laugh. "The wondrous submissiveness you played, which I must say was wonderfully played! And not to mention your excitement in actually doing classwork!" Lilah said poetically. "Damn! Now that I think of it... this is scary!"
"What?" Adam asked with a quizzical look. "What is scary?"
But before Lilah can answer, Professor Flitwick swung open the door and ushered them inside.
"Oh! Hurry up!" The little man squeaked. "Mustn't be late this year!"
When the two were seated, Lilah scribbled on a spare piece of parchment:
'You are seriously mad, well - stupid but it means the same thing!... Bother you more when I can use my wand! hahahaha! Shut up!'
A New Life
Author: Adriana Fairchild
Date: 12-28-01 22:23
Adriana Fairchild glanced at her watch and tapped her foot impatiently while waiting for the other passengers on the plane to deboard. The flight from JFK was grueling, especially in coach, and to make matters worse she flew into London-Gatwick instead of London-Heathrow, an extra hour away from the city. Things couldn't possibly get worse. Or so she thought.
Finally the path before her cleared and Adriana was on her way to baggage claim. The large suitcase she would pick up contained all that was left of her possessions. But that would soon change. When her father died he left her with three things; a map, the name Albus Dumbledore, and a key to a safety deposit box containing 500,000 pounds. Well, Adriana assumed the money was in pounds, since it was from a London bank. Her father hadn't been very clear when he told her. But whether pounds or dollars it would be enough. Enough to pay off her father's hospital bills, enough to finish her degree, enough to start a new life. All she had to do was find Gringotts Bank.
Re: Questions
Author: Prof. Sorcha
Date: 12-29-01 01:05
"Say, by the way, how was your last class, eh?" Samantha asked. I stopped walking towards my desk. "Umm, you want to know how my last class was?" Sorcha asked nervously
Samantha curved a brow. "Well, o' course...it was your first class of the day and at Hogwarts."
"Oh, well, it...it...was fine." Sorcha finally made it to her desk and sat down in the chair. She grabbed a book and opened it to no page in particular.
Folding her arms Samantha looked quite intrigued. "It...it...was fine? Why are you stuttering Chris? Come on now...No secrets from Samantha Thatcher! You know better than that."
Sorcha looked up at Samantha. "Ok, fine. See that desk in the front row, the one with the sun shining on it? Well, the student that sat there stared at me like he had a crush on me. Well, I couldn't look away because, well, I got surprised. Then I heard snickering coming from the door, and it was my students. Then during the class, he just kept staring at me. The students started pointing at us and whispering."
Samantha rubbed her chin in thought. "Hmm...Well, seems ta me you have some more rumors on your hands." She grinned. "Bu' don' worry, I'll take care o' that fer yeh, okay?"
"Ok. Thanks." Sorcha flipped a couple of pages in the book, before she felt some eyes on her that weren't Samantha's. She looked into the hall, and there was Adam. She couldn't stop herself from blushing.
"Good Morning" was all that Sorcha could say. Samantha looked up and saw that Sorcha was talking to someone not in the class.
Before Adam could say anything Lilah replied with "Good morning." Then she said something low to Adam.
"Uh..." Adam started.
"Come on, we are going to be late!" she said to Adam.
Finally Adam managed, "Hi."
Lilah turned back to Sorcha. "We really have to run Professor."
"Hmm? Oh yes... yes.. of course!" Sorcha said.
"Bye! See you when we see you!" Lilah said as she pushed Adam off.
Samantha walked up next to Sorcha and saw the two heading off, Adam still staring back at Sorcha before going up some stairs.
After Adam and Lilah left Samantha started to chuckle, then turned into a mountain of laughter.
"That's not funny!" Sorcha exclaimed, "And, yes that is the boy that sat in the one desk. I still don't see the humor in the situation."
Samantha's laughter died down. "I'm sorry Chris...It's just that...well," she was restraining her laughter, "I think 'e really does like you. I will talk to 'im. Don' really know 'im...but I will get it outa 'im. Promise yeh tha'!" Then she took a seat.
Before Sorcha said anything, other students walked into the class. When the class bell rang, the students stopped talking.
"Ok, My name is Professor Sorcha. This is Ancient Runes, and you should be 7th year Gryffindors and Ravenclaws." Some students got up and left.
"Today all we are doing is going around the class and introducing ourselves to each other. Now, who would like to go first?"
Ancient Runes
Author: Samantha Thatcher

Samantha looked around and saw that no one stood up. Shaking her head in disbelief, she was the first to stand. "Me name's Samantha. I'm a Gryffindor seventh year an' I picked this class as an elective bein' cause I already know a lot about runes and knew it'd be easy. So if any o' yeh need any 'elp jus' ask." Grinning she took her seat and others began to stand and one by one they introduced themselves.
That was mainly what they did in class, besides Professor Sorcha introducing what the class was and what to expect from it. When class was finally over, Samantha said good-bye to her teacher friend and headed out the door. Sure enough Fred and George were there waiting for her.
"Aye, yeh're 'ere!" She smiled at the two.
Fred looked at her puzzled. "Well of course we are. Said we would be didn't we?"
"Yeah yeh did. I jus' thought yeh'ed be busy and be late." She winked.
"Well, we're 'ere!" George laughed. "And we'd better get to 'erbology."
Samantha agreed with a nod.
In Love
Author: Majandra
Date: 12-29-01 07:31
Majandra had managed to ditch Lavender and Parvati long enough on Saturday to meet Lostark for lunch. Once they'd caught up with her again, the two girls kept steering Majandra away from spending more time with him. This meant that Parvati and Lavender got to hear Majandra's endless litany of Lostark's qualities. As a result, by Sunday night both were thoroughly sick of hearing about Chris Lostark and couldn't wait for classes to begin Monday. Both also hoped that this serious bout of rebounding Majandra was doing would pass quickly as they didn't know how much more of lovesick Majandra they could take. Bright and early Monday morning, Majandra was up to finish memorizing Lostark's class schedule while she also finished knitting him a pair of socks she'd started the day before. When she arrived at the Great Hall for breakfast, Majandra was disappointed to find that she'd somehow missed seeing Lostark. "Oh well," she'd thought to herself, "I'll just have to meet up with *very dreamy sigh* him between Transfiguration and Ancient Runes."
Majandra's mind was so involved with thoughts of Lostark that she didn't even notice why Transfiguration let out early. With a happy sigh Majandra fairly floated out of the classroom, the new pair of socks held tightly in one hand. Lavender, walking beside the lovesick girl out of the class, just rolled her eyes and tried not to gag when Majandra asked in a sickeningly lovey dovey voice, "Do you think Professor Dumbledore would let me take classes with my Lostarki poo? And do you think it's possible to change houses from Gryffindor to Ravenclaw?"

Author: Neo Anderson
Date: 12-29-01 08:45
Neo and Prote sat by each other in Charms class... but it seemed pretty boring (to Neo that is). Professor Flitwick was talking merrily to the class about this charm, but to Neo it sounded like "yadda, yadda, yadda yakady shmackady blah, blah, blah."
Neo slanted sideways, eyes dropping, and everything started to blur... ... ... ...
*ssssssssnnnnnnnnooooooorrrrrrrrreeeeeee*
Uh, Dude!
Wake up!
Author: Prote Spacy
Date: 12-29-01 09:08
Prote liked Charms... he liked the Wingardium Leviosa spell most.
Prote stared around until he heard a conk on the desk besides him... Neo's head just dropped on the table with a loud knock!
Professor Flitwick seemed to notice too. Prote quickly took out his wand and did a little wave (which caused a few sparks and a REALLY loud BANG!!!)
Neo shot up awake. "WHERE'S THE CANNON?!" he said stupidly, and the whole class laughed.
"Mr. Anderson! Pay attention!" snapped the Professor.
Neo sank in his seat with his face red in embarrassment.
