I sit down at the Hufflepuff table beside Ariella Beck and Leonora Torres. We discuss the future classes. I almost want to jump up and down with excitement. This year promises to be a great first year for me!

Many owls of differing types and sizes delivered all sorts of packages and letters. One was huge. Everyone watched as it circled overhead. The giant owl was carrying a box that seemed to shake violently. I knew exactly what it was. It was a terralupin for Hagrid, my cousin. As it slowly descended the Howler message attached to it erupted before it could be delivered.
"CHRISTOPHER FARLEY LOSTARK! HOW COULD YOU FORGET YOUR GIFT TO COUSIN HAGRID! DO YOU KNOW HOW MUCH IT COSTS TO USE THE BIG OWL LONG DISTANCE?"
The noise startled the owl and it dropped the box directly into my lap. The entire hall burst into laughter after. The hall was shaking with my mother's angry shrieking voice. It made the terralupin howl. With that I sank in my seat. After I finished my breakfast, I released it from its box and put it on a leash and took it to cousin Hagrid. He was glad to see me alright, and that the terralupin came healthy as well. After a quick visit I went to my first class, potions.

"Why are we up so early?" George whined, following Fred down the stairs.
Fred rolled his eyes and scanned the common room for Samantha. "Sammi, there you are!" he called cheerfully, crossing the room to meet her.
"Of course, that's why," George grinned, following his twin to where Samantha stood.
"Mornin' boys!" Samantha said. She held her Ancient Runes book under her arm, leaving the other arm free for Fred.
He blushed and linked his arm with hers, and began walking out of the common room towards the Great Hall.
"Ancient Runes is at nine?"
"Mmm-hmm."
"An' then we 'ave 'erbology together?"
"Tha's roight."
George was left trailing behind them as Fred and Sammi continued walking down the massive corridors deeply engrossed in conversation.
"An' then our day is free?"
"Mmm-hmm. Which means tha' you an' I can get inta some trouble!"
Naturally, the word trouble caught George's attention, and thus he ran to catch up with the pair shouting, "You two better count me in on that!"
Fred grinned, "Of course, Georgie. We would never leave you out when there is trouble just waiting to be caused!"
Samantha laughed and added, "From what I understand, you are the bigger half of trouble!"
"Who told ya that?" Fred asked her innocently.
George gasped, "Could it be that my dear ole brother gave me a compliment?!?"
"Me? Compliment you? Nevah!" Fred whipped back his head and emulated a Slytherin cackle.
George laughed, "That's bloody good, Fred."
"An' the compliment is returned!" Fred chuckled as the three entered the Great Hall.
They filled up on all sorts of breakfast goodies, including ham, eggs, french toast, and fruit. When their bellies were full and the mail had been delivered, Fred and George set off to lead Samantha to her first class.
"It's still early!" she whined, not ready to part their company just yet.
Fred nodded, "We know that. It's barely past eight. We jus' wanna show you where to go an' then I'll hang out with ya until nine."
"I'll?" George asked.
"We'll..." Fred answered, completely unaware that eventually his behavior would lead to George being dubbed the third wheel.
"Well, then. Let's go," Samantha said as she was escorted out of the Great Hall by the boys. They soon found the classroom in which an Ancient Runes class was already under way. In the meantime, the trio found a comfortable spot on the staircase to sit. They began to chat about trouble and mayhem, about tricks, pranks, and jokes, about...er...well, no doubt the topic of conversation is an obvious one when Fred and George are involved.

Cornelius Fudge, seen above, entered the 4,077th Annual Enchanted Sweet Contest
and burnt his magical fudge, which would have been able to change flavor every
minute, but being burnt it has only one flavor, charcoal. The winner of the
baking contest was Ms. Ivana Kuchen with a popscicle that turns colors. The
winner chose to donate her winnings to the charity of Witches Opposed to Warts

After breakfast and some introductions to a few of the other teachers I went to class: 8-9 1st year Gryffindor and Slytherin.
Class (8-9
Gryffindor and Slytherin First Years)
Author: Dr. Armageddon Endikut
Date: 12-26-01 07:17
I called the roll. As I called the names the students raised their hands. "Peter Allen, Juliet Davis, Charity Douglas, Mindy Fort, Lee Henderson, Elizabeth Ross, Lawrence Stewart, Robert Wooten..."
Once I finished, I started to teach the first year's lesson. "Students, I want you to pay close attention in this class. It may just save your life." I started it how I was going to start every first class. "If you are not careful, you can be turned into stone, turned into a pile of ash, blown up, drained of your blood, will power, or your emotions; you could be tortured to death or madness, or even become a monster. Out of any family that knows the seriousness of this class is my own. I come from a long line of vampire hunters or aurors, and each of what I have mentioned happened to at least two members of my family. Any questions?"
The students were a bit scared. "Now that I have your attention, I will give you some assurance. The best weapon you can have against evil is knowing what you are dealing with and how you can deal with it. Please place your books away. We will have a discussion on evil. What is evil?" I asked. A Gryffindor rose his hand. "Slytherins?" said the first year. "Why would you say that?" I asked. "A lot of nasty wizards came from Slytherin," said the Gryffindor.
"By your logic, you are stating anyone whom came from a bad environment is evil. The still at large criminal Sirus Black was a Gryffindor. He had the same environment you did. Would you kill 13 people in one curse?" I asked. "No." "How come?" "I just won't." "Oh, you can clearly see the future?" I asked. "No, I just know I wouldn't do such a thing." "Fate, is uncertain. Things change as do people. I bet Mr. Black would have said the same thing at your age. Personally, I view evil as its own entity. Like the magic quill that Hogwarts uses to select students, or your wands, evil chooses you as much as you choose it," I said. Eventually the bell rang and I dismissed the students.

Aoife came skidding to a halt in the Great Hall in a flurry.
"I'm here!" she called out. "Sorry!"
She ran over to the Ravenclaw table in an almost embarrassed manner. Sitting down at the table she muttered to herself about yelling too loudly in a crowd, since her entrance gained her quite a few stares. She hurriedly stuffed a poppy seed muffin into her mouth and scrambled out of the Great Hall to her first class.

It was inevitable. George was now The Third Person. The truth was, he was happy that his brother finally found a girl, but he was a bit jealous.
They wandered around, taking their time to get Samantha to her first class at 9:00 o'clock. Samantha had Fred's right arm, and George walked on Fred's left, his hands shoved into his pockets.
"All right then, George?" Fred said, casting a concerned look in his twin's direction.
George nodded, "All right, then. What'll we do b'fore Sam's first class?" He falsely cheered up, taking on a mischievous grin.
"Well, I dunno. What d'you wanna do, Sam?" Fred asked Samantha, his eyes sparkling.

Sorcha sits quietly at the table eating her breakfast as Dr. Endikut continues to shower her in comments. He is interrupted by a student sliding into the hall yelling, "I'm here!"
As he turns around after the yelling the girl yells again, "Sorry!". Again he turns to look. Sorcha takes the time to finish what she had on her plate before he turns back.
"Oh, I have to go to class now. I mean, I still have to prepare my class. Excuse me." Sorcha stood up and was about to leave when Dr. Endikut stood as well.
"Well, I'll escort you to your class. It is on the way," he offered politely.
"Well... What about my escort on the way in? He is headed into the same place, while you have to head across the school. I wouldn't want to inconvenience you like that," Sorcha said as she walked off. "Oh, by the way, it was nice meeting you." Sorcha hurried over to the Ravenclaw table and went next to Adam.
"Umm, Hi," he said, as the young lady next to him snickered. "Did I do something wrong?"
"Um, no. I, ummm, need to go back to class now, and you have to come with me so we can talk about showing up so early."
"Ok." He stood up and walked with Sorcha towards the class. Sorcha heard a very low "Adam has a girlfriend" before getting out of earshot of the table.

"Did you see the new Defense Against Dark Arts teacher?" Cho asked Sykra as they walked across the grounds.
Sykra grinned. "Yessum I did..! He woz that...kinda dorky one that looked like he woz flirting with the new Ancient Runes teacher..." Cho laughed as her friend continued. "OMG!!" Sykra stopped.
"What? What? What is it??"
Sykra started walking again. "Well...wot if...those two...are like...ya know...well...ya know!"
Cho stared at her friend for a moment as if she were crazy, then slowly started to smile. "Well...she IS rather pretty...but...well...I don't think HE seems to be her type..."
"Well...opposites attract..." Sykra was grinning. "Ya know wot? I bet there is something going on between them!!!" She seemed rather excited about the idea.
Cho grinned also. "Ya know, I think your right!!"
"Hehehehehehe..!" The two Ravenclaws turned around and saw a group of first years running off giggling.
"Think they heard us?"
"Probab-OUCH!" Sykra turned around. "Wot in BLOODY 'ELL do yeh think ya doin'??" She saw Clara Devaki and her friend Tempest standing there. "Oh. It's you." Sykra glared.
"Get outta our way yeh filthy Mudblood..!" Clara sneered as she gave Sykra a cold stare.
"Why don' ya make me??" Sykra retorted as Cho kind of edged around the two.
"Wanna make sumthin' of it?" Tempest glared then spun around to face Cho. "Wataya think YER doin'??"
Cho gave Tempest an icey cold stair. "Jus' trying to get to class. Shouldn't you two be heading for class also?"
"They should!" Sykra shoved passed the two, grabbed Cho, and started walking again.
"WATCH YOURSELF, SAWYER!" Clara shouted after her, after making sure know teachers were around.
"Ignore her." Cho said to Sawyer as they walked.
"Oh I will. She does't scare me." Sykra grinned. "Besides, why bother with him when I'm anxious for lunchtime to get her so we can tell Aradia about are teaching lovebirds!" They laughed as they walked to class.

Clara and Tempest watched the two Ravenclaws walk away. "I cannot STAND those two," Tempest raved. "And that Chang! Thinks she's SO good 'cause she's a seeker." She looked as if she might put a curse on Cho at any moment. Clara, seeing this, pulled Tempest to the shade of a nearby tree, not wanting her friend to be expelled or anything.
"I know..." Clara glanced around to make sure there was no one around, then leaned in towards her friend. "But did you hear wot they were talking about..." She grinned. "Before we 'interrupted' them?"
"Um...well..." Tempest started. "I heard something about that pathetic new Defense Against Dark Arts Teacher and that new ancient Runes teacher...but I didn't catch exactly wot..." She looked sort of confused.
"Well...it seems, and when I think about it, it actually makes sense..." She paused.
Tempest was ready to scream. "Out with it Clara!!"
"Quiet Temp!" Clara glared. "It seems as if there's something between those two teachers..." She grinned wickedly.
"NO WAY!!"
"Shh! Shhh! Temp!" Clara silenced her. "Wouldn't want everyone knowing now would we??"
"Oh...oh course not!" Tempest began to return the evil smile. "That would not be good...not good at all."
Clara gave a wicked laugh. "Do you know wot this means?"
"'Course!" Tempest answered with a sort of glee. "Imagine what we could do with this..."
"Oh I know!" Clara started to get excited. "Wonderful isn't it?"
"Yup! This could get big..." Tempest shared Clara's excitement.
"It could...it really could..." Clara shook her head and looked towards the castle. "We'll probab-OH!!"
"What? WHAT?"
"Look! Look!" Clara pointed towards two figures. One adult and one student. "It's that Professor Sorcha and that bloody Ravenclaw Beater...Hoggington-Smitz..no wait..Higgington-Smyte...no...that's not it either...oh well, too damn bloody long name anywayz..." She turned towards Clara, her wicked smile getting bigger. "Are you thinking wot I'm thinking?"
Tempest faced her, the same look on her face. "Perhaps..."
"This could get good..."
"I know..."
"You're so devilishly evil, Temp."
"As so are you Clara..."
"That's why we make such a good team."
"Exactly...but we're gonna need some more Slytherins in on this one."
"I know who we could get..."
"Draco again? I mean...he's probably one of the best we could get...but still...don't you ever quit?"
"I didn't mean Draco, stupid! I meant Py, Azaelia, and her cousin Isolde. That's actually three people but...anywayz..."
"Are YOU saying you don't want Draco in on it?"
"'Course I want him in on it! He would never forgive us if we kept him out of something!"
"Oh...I feel the heartbreak..."
"Oh shut it, Temp!"
"Whatever..." Tempest rolled her eyes. "Shall we head to class? We can talk to Draco and some others there..."
"Yes, let's."
"Alright then..." Tempest started off with a wicked look on her face and Clara followed, the evil glistening in her eyes. They walked for a few moments before Clara spoke.

Watch Out,
Here We Come!
Author: Samantha Thatcher
Date: 12-26-01 23:07
Samantha thought a minute, and glanced over at George, who had his hands in pockets, now looking down at the floor. Awww...George... She felt bad for George. He obviously was feeling left out.
She broke her link with Fred and ran and jumped on George's back, dropping her Runes book. "Hey! Cheer up you! I can'a be 'aving no frownin' people in m'presence! Yeh got it?!"
George looked up at her with a big smile on his face. "Yes ma'am!" He then started running down the hall with Samantha screaming on his back.
Fred picked up Samantha's book and chased after them, laughing his head off. "'Ey! Wait up you two!" But George kept running, trying not to knock anyone over in the halls. When they finally came to a stop, Samantha slid off the tired boy's back.
He slouched down putting his hands on his knees, trying to catch his breath. Sammi bent down to meet his eyes. "George, yeh don't need ta feel left out o' an'thin'! I'd nevar dream of that." She smiled. George slowly stood up straight, still out of breath and smiled. "You are something else you know that?" He said before Fred finally caught up with the two.
Fred came to a halt beside George and collapsed to the ground. Samantha bent over him. "What's wrong Fred? You look wee bit tired." She teased.
He shook his head with a half grin. "You look like you need a good laugh!" Fred grabbed her arm and pulled her to the ground beside him and started tickling her.
Samantha tossed around struggling to break free from his grasp. She laughed so hard tears began to drizzle down her face. "Stop it! Stop it!!" She managed to squeeze out between laughter.
George was laughing in the background. After what seemed like forever to Samantha, Fred sat back on his heels leaving her laying on the ground still laughing.
Fred folded his arms and chuckled. "There...Now we all seem to be out of breath."
She stopped laughing and just laid there. It was her turn to catch her breath. "You...Are goin' ta get it mister..."
He leaned down. "Is that a threat?" Fred curved a brow.
Grinning Samantha began to sit up. "You bet it is..." They were practically nose to nose, grinning threateningly.
"Uh oh..." George stared.
"Samantha Thatcher?"
Still staring at Fred, she wrinkled her brows, then jerked her head in the direction of her name.
"Christina?! Christina Sorcha!" Fred let Samantha get up, and she gave her friend a big hug. "How are you?! I 'aven't seen yeh fer a long while!"
"I'm great Sam!" Christina smiled. "Where are you headed? I need to get back to my Runes class."
"Runes class? I 'ave that at nine!"
"Do you? Great! It's in between classes right now. You want walk with me back to class?" the new teacher asked.
Samantha smiled. "Sure! We could catch on lost time."
"What about your boyfriends here? Do they have Runes class as well?" Sorcha grinned.
"M'boyfriends?" Sammi laughed. "No, but they were takin' me there. Bein' 'new' an' all." She winked. "Yeh don' mind do you Fred? George?"
The two smiled. "No, no...go ahead Sam." George encouraged.
"Yeah, we'll meet ya in 'erbology...erm, well at the Runes classroom at ten."
"Right-o! Thanks you guys." She smiled. "Cheerio!" Fred and George waved, and headed off in another direction.
