Morning at Hogwarts
Author: Hermione Granger
Date: 12-18-01 22:18

The next morning, Hermione was the last of her dormmates to climb out of bed. Pulling back the covers, she threw her legs over the side of the four-poster and yawned. While she prepared for the day, Sirius' message echoed in her mind.

She knew that this year would be quite different than her last four at Hogwarts, but even the previous ones were anything but normal. Those four years were indeed full of more twists and turns than any ordinary student would expect.

At any rate, Hermione hoped that Sirius' worries wouldn't come to light. Last year ended bad enough, it just couldn't get any worse. Could it? She shrugged those thoughts away from her, and bounded down the stairs. The common room was full of life once again, with happy Gryffindors in every corner. Only two were missing, Harry and Ron.

Hermione rolled her eyes, figuring the two were oversleeping. She walked past Samantha, who was lounging in a chair surrounded by the Weasley twins. Choosing her usual spot in front of the fireplace, Hermione opened up her Transfiguration book and started reading.

Breakfast Time!

Sykra walked into the common room the next morning, spotted Cho and Aradia, went and sunk into a chair next to theirs. "G'mornin!" Sykra yawned.

"Morning Sykra!" Cho and Aradia greeted her cheerfully. Sykra looked at her friends as if they were insane.

"Why so cheerful?" She closed her eyes. "I'd still be in bed 'cept I got kinda hungry..." She grinned as the other two girls rolled their eyes at her.

"Well why don't we head downstairs?" Cho said. "Maybe, if by miracle, you will trip and go tumbling down the stairs...that should wake you up!" She and Aradia laughed as Sykra scowled.

"You girls." Sykra got up and headed for the entryway. "Coming?" She looked back at the giggling girls. They got up an followed Sykra out the door and to the Great Hall for breakfast, Sykra making it with out tripping once.

Reading the Daily Prophet

After a nice night's sleep, I got my usual Daily Prophet in a newstand at Hogsmeade. I paid the salesmam five knuts. I went down to the Great Hall and had bacon, fried eggs, toast and tea. Professor McGonagall was beginning to pass out the schedules to each student. After she finished she gave each teacher a list of student names for each of our classes. After I checked the Quidditch scores I looked at the student lists.

Breakfast
Author: Lostark The Rude
Date: 12-19-01 00:13

I got up and went to the Great Hall for breakfast. I had twenty eggs, twenty-five strips of bacon, thirty slices of toast and a gallon of milk. "With an appetite like that, one would think you would eat me next," Flitwick said. "Professor I wouldn't do that, as long as you don't swim in something I'm eating," I said.

Something Wicked This Way Comes
Author: Azaelia Bramble
Date: 12-19-01 00:48

As the Bloody Baron bid Azaelia and her cousin a wicked evening, a fellow housemate made his way over. It was Pyrrhus Fine, a seemingly wicked, scheming Slytherin, just as Isolde and Azaelia were -- but they'd find out for sure just how wicked and scheming he was.

"Hello, Isolde. Azaelia. I've got a little idea to run past the two of you. It's a plan for getting one of the Gryffindors and I think I could really use your help," he said. His voice was hushed and each word had a sort of icy ring to it.

Azaelia arched her eyebrow and shot a look to her cousin. They locked eyes, and with an invisible agreement, turned their full attention back to Pyrrhus, a slender and evil smile spreading across their lips.

"The idea I have is . . . "

And the three, impious Slytherin's put their heads together, ready and eager to have some fun. Their whispers and muffled cackling the only sound that broke the silence of the Slytherin common room.

~*~

The next morning, the air was quite crisp as Azaelia dressed for the day ahead of her.

She snuck over to cousin's four-poster bed, and shook her. "Isolde, C'mon, get up! I'm starving!"

The slender, blonde figure rolled over, groaning slightly.

"Lia, what are you doing? It's Saturday!" Azaelia's cousin whined, stretching her arms over her head.

Azaelia whipped the covers off of Isolde. "C'mon! You told me to get you up when I got up."

"Hey!"

Isolde climbed out of bed and slipped on her clothes grumbling explicits about her rude awakening. She combed out her long blonde hair, pulled it into a ponytail and then halfway through, again. The way she always wore it -- both Isolde and Azaelia, for that matter. It was simple and out of the way, and looked good to them, although their mothers' despised the style.

"Why don't you pull it up on both sides instead of that mess?" Their mothers' would say.

But the fourteen-year-olds didn't care. It was fine for them, that's all that mattered.

~*~

At breakfast, Azaelia and Isolde took their usual seats near the end of Slytherin table. Each girl sat directly across from the other so they could talk and see the other's face, or kick the other person when a cute guy came along.

"Man, I'm so freakin' hungry -- pass me a croissant, wouldja please?" Lia asked. Her cousin handed her the request.

They glanced down the table in Pyrrhus's direction. They caught his eye and all three winked impishly, then turned back to their breakfast and morning gossip.

Lovely Morning, Aye?
Author: Clara Devaki
Date: 12-19-01 04:57

The next morning Clara jumped out of bed, eager to start the day. She cleaned herself up real quick, threw on her robes, and brushed out her long, silky smooth, black hair. She walked back into the dormitory, and glanced at the still sleeping Tempest. Should I wake her up...or shouldn't I? Clara thought to herself. After a moment of debating, she shoved Tempest on the floor, then ignoring the cursing, headed out of the Slytherin house.

She walked down to the Great Hall, looked at the Slytherin table, and spotted two empty seats. As she walked towards them a slight grin appeared on her face, and her green eyes glistened. One of the seats just happened to be right next to none other than Draco Malfoy. Her heart skipped a beat as she went and took the seat next him, and after glancing at him, turned to watch for Tempest who would most likely be down soon.

Shortly, Sykra Sawyer walked in, and with an evil look in her eyes, Clara decided to spend her time waiting on Tempest to think of a perfect plan to really get her that year.

Morning Glory
Author: Aradia Forest

I'm sitting in the comfy chair, talking with Cho when Sykra comes down from the bedroom. We talk a bit then decide to go for breakfast.

"Well why don't we head downstairs?" Cho said. "Maybe, if by miracle, you will trip and go tumbling down the stairs...that should wake you up..!" She and Aradia laughed as Sykra scowled.

"NO!!!" I cringe. "Don't trip!!!! Or, if you MUST, then warn me first. That way I can avoid being at the bottom of the pile." Laughing, we head to the Great Hall. By some miracle, or just plain luck, Sykra manages to stay on her feet.

I take my place at the Hufflepuff table. "Hi, sit here," says a boy. I sit down beside him. "I'm Neo Anderson," he says. "And this is Prote Spacy. "Hello," says Prote. "I'm Amerah Patterson," I reply. The three of us chatter on about Quidditch and our intentions to win the cup.

Trouble
Author: Isolde
Date: 12-19-01 06:35

Isolde helped herself to some scrambled eggs and bacon, while Azaelia opted for some oatmeal and a croissant with marmalade. They both turned to look as the Weasley twins entered with the new seventh year, Samantha Thatcher.

"She looks like she's in hog heaven," Isolde snorted, watching her fawn over both boys.

Azaelia scoffed, "Those Gryffindors. They're so incredibly boring!"

"Maybe we should hatch a little plan for those three," Isolde began, leaning over the table as she lowered her voice. "Those Weasley twins think they know everything about tricks and pranks, but we could prove them wrong."

Azaelia's brown eyes brightened, "I like the way you think, cousin. With this plan, and the one for Majandra..." She cast a short glance towards Pyrrhus who was engaging in conversation with some other Slytherins. Completing her sentence she said, "We could get into loads of trouble!"

"Trouble?" Isolde whipped back her head and laughed, "Trouble is my middle name. You know, Isolde Trouble Farnon."

"Your middle name is Blanche," Azaelia stated, swirling her spoon in her oatmeal.

"Shh!!!!" Isolde hushed, looking around quickly. "Don't you ever tell anyone that!"

Azaelia laughed, "Well, it is."

"Whatever. Now, let's go over Pyrrhus' plan one more time. I don't want you to screw it up or anything."

"Hey!" Azaelia exclaimed, laughing.

The two girls leaned their heads in close and whispered the who, what, where, when, and how of Pyrrhus' brilliant scheme.

Nice to Meet You!
Author: Neo Anderson
Date: 12-19-01 06:57

"We are going to kick some BUTT out in the Quidditch field!!!" cried Neo. Amerah and Prote shook their heads in agreement. "Oh, YEAH!!!" said Prote. "Hehehehehe!!!!" Amerah cackled.

Then something covered Prote's head. "HEY!!!!!!" he cried. Neo and Amerah both looked at Prote then at the person he was yelling at.

"WHAT WAS THAT FOR?!!!!!" cried Prote. The person turned around. "Are you talking to me?" he said.

"YEAH!!!" cried Prote. The boy walked over. "What's your name?" he said. "What's yours!" said Prote. "My name is Draco Malfoy, and I'm a Slytherin! And if I were you I would not yell at one!" Draco said coldly.

Prote then jumped out of his seat and grabbed hold of Draco's robes. "WHY YOU...!" he cried, then a teacher came behind Prote.

"What seems to be all the trouble here?" Prote turned arouned to face the man. Prote released Draco's robes (with a hard force). "Nothin'," Prote said glaring at Draco.

"Prote Spacy, isn't it?" the man said. "Yeah, so?" said Prote, now looking from Draco to the teacher. "Detention for you Spacy! In my office tomorrow," the teacher said and he walked to the staff table.

Draco grinned. "You don't want to stand in the way of Professor Snape!" he sneered, then he walked away.

Prote looked outraged!!! Quickly Neo and Amerah forced him to sit down (which was a challenge).

"COME BACK HERE YOU YELLOW COWARD!!!!!" yelled Prote.

"I'LL BITE YOUR LEGS OFF!!!!!!" he yelled again.

Neo stuffed a piece of banana in Prote's mouth. Prote ate it and it seemed to have calmed him down... a little anyway. Amerah laughed.

Utterly Charming
Author: Pyrrhus
Date: 12-19-01 07:27

Despite being up most of the night, first talking to Isolde and Azaelia and then looking up the charms and spells they'd need for their plan, Pyrrhus was awake early and already done with breakfast when most of the other students began trickling into the Hall. Seeing the two girls enter and sit down, Py wraps up his conversation and walks over to join them. They are huddled close together but make room for him so he can sit. Pyrrhus grins when he leans in and hears Isolde and Azaelia going over the plan.

"Isolde. Azaelia. Want to start this today or wait till Monday when classes start? I personally think it could be a long weekend without some entertainment. How about you two make a selection?"

Two broad grins met Pyrrhus's own before two pairs of eyes start scanning the room. After a minute, Isolde and Azaelia exchange a look before turning back to face Py. Speaking as if with one voice, both whisper, "The new Ravenclaw. The big one making a pig of himself with breakfast."

Pyrrhus does a quick look around then nods in agreement. "Perfect. I'll get things going and you two can be figuring out who for Phase 2."

Pyrrhus leaves the Great Hall and returns to his room in Slytherin House. He retrieves a book he'd noticed last night. What a perfect bit of luck that Mum accidently packed one of Majandra's textbooks in with his things. Pyrrhus holds the book in front of him, speaks the words to a particular charm and then picking up his wand he also casts a spell. A few minutes later, Pyrrhus walks back into the Hall and approaches Majandra at her House table. "Here. Found this in with my stuff. Could have kept it from you but Mum would know that if it wasn't in your trunk it'd be in mine."

"Thanks. Good of you to realize hiding it wouldn't have been wise." Majandra takes the book and returns to the conversation she was in before Py's interruption.

Pyrrhus rejoins Azaelia and Isolde. "All done. Now to sit back and watch the fun."

Spellbound
Author: Majandra
Date: 12-19-01 08:13

Within seconds of returning to her conversation with Lavender, a strange feeling washes over Majandra. It vanishes so quickly that Majandra doesn't give it another thought. Another minute passes. Majandra's looking up to wave to someone just coming in for breakfast when she sees him. A rather starry look enters Majandra's eyes as she stares at him.

Lavender pokes Majandra in the arm. "What's got you so dazed?"

Majandra points to the Ravenclaw table. "Him." This is said in a dreamy tone of voice.

"I saw him last night but just now I really looked at him. Excuse me, Lavender."

With that, Majandra gets up and walks to the Ravenclaw table. Lavender's puzzled frown follows Majandra while she wonders why Majandra kept saying the word him in such a strange way. And just what about him has caught Majandra's eye to the point that she'd overcome her shyness around new people and go boldy over to introduce herself? Lavender gets the look on her face that most people get when light bulbs goes off in their heads. Lavender rushes off to find her friend Parvati.

****

Majandra claims an empty seat right next to him. Smiling brightly she bats her eyes and introduces herself. "Hallo. I'm Majandra Fine. You don't mind if I sit here with you?"

He shakes his head no and between bites of breakfast tells her his name is Lostark.

"That's a wonderful name. In fact, it's the best name I've ever heard." Big smile. More batting of the eyelashes.

Majandra starts to say something else but Lavender has returned with Parvati and the two insist they need Majandra to help them with something. Majandra blows Lostark a kiss, winks at him and mouths "I love you" even as the other two girls are pushing her out of the Hall.

"I'll see you later! How about for lunch? Can't wait to see you again!!" Majandra calls out just before Lavender and Parvati succeed in dragging her through the door.

"I really hope this is important, Lavender. I need to get back to my sweetie. Did he look to you like he was getting enough to eat. Maybe I should talk to the kitchen elves."

Lavender gives Parvati an "I told you so" look. "Obviously she's rebounding still from when that Muggle boy dumped her just before start of term last year. You'd think she'd be over it by now but it seems she's got it bad. On a Divinations test last spring, I predicted something just like this."

Majandra grins at Lavender. "What are you going on about? Rebounding? Who's rebounding? I've just discovered the most wonderful boy in the world."

A thoughtful look fills Majandra's face. "Say, if two students got married, do you think the school would provide married couples housing?"
