The Meeting
Author: Remus Lupin
Date: 10-30-02 20:41

Dumbledore, Michael and I gather for a meeting. This meeting will hopefully address the issues and figure out a plan of action on how to stop Voldemort and his followers from doing any further damage.

"Good day, Remus. Good day, Michael," says Dumbledore in his usual cheerful manner.

"Good evening, Headmaster," I reply.

"Hello, Albus," replies Michael.

"Well, we know what we're here for," says Dumbledore, "Let's get started."

At that the discussion of what to do begins.

The Meeting
Author: Albus Dumbledore
Date: 10-30-02 22:16

"I'd like to begin by telling you, Remus," Dumbledore started, "that Severus has decided on his own to go spy on Voldemort."

Remus stared. Dumbledore nodded. "I know you two aren't the best of friends, Remus, but him going may be a big help." Dumbledore finished. Remus nodded. Dumbledore then looked to Michael. "Does anyone have any ideas they'd like to share about what's been happening and how we could possibly end it?" Dumbledore asked.

Return of Severus Snape
Author: Voldemort
Date: 10-31-02 07:08

I watch Severus' display unmoved. It's a shallow meaningless display. It proves nothing.

"I remember clearly you stating that you wish you had never joined me. Why have you suddenly changed your mind?"

"The fool Dumbledore clouded my thinking. I have come to my senses now, master."

I regard him unblinking for a moment, then I turn to a death eater close by. "Go and find the others that are still with me, bring them to me."

He bows then goes to do my bidding. In a few moments we gather the familiar circle.

"You will all remember Severus Snape, of course," I state, pacing the circle. "He claims to have come to his senses. Nevertheless, I am not sure he has." I give a meaningful look back to where he is standing. "What do you think, Death Eaters? Should we welcome the errant man back to the fold?"

A mix of opinions, yes, no. Some, as I said, want to kill him on the spot for his treachery. Others believe his story of a muddled mind. I raise my hand for silence.

"I think I will give him a chance - just one - to prove his worth and sincerity." I stop just in front of Lucius Malfoy and say to him quietly. "Watch him, Lucius. Watch him VERY carefully. You will make sure he does not slip or act out of line. If he ever acts suspect, then act how you think best and let me know." Then, loudly "Lucius, why don't you tell us how the interview with the auror and Potter went?"

Seething
Author: Dierna ní Cíaran
Date: 10-31-02 07:57

Never, in all the years I have been an auror, have I used - or even been tempted to use - the Unforgivable Cures, even when it was legal. Right now, though, it's a VERY good thing for Lucius Malfoy that I don't have a wand.

"I'm an IRISH Wizard, Lucius! I DON'T LIE!" I yell after him as he departs. He, of course does not react to his name. I didn't expect him to, but I did have to try. Someone starts dragging me back to the cell. Still seething, I continue my tirade. "Tell him that harming those I care about is not a good way to solicit my cooperation!"

But I am just as mad at myself, for letting myself get angry again. I know that is at least part of what they wanted to do. Damn Irish temper. After my hands are unbound (surprisingly) and the door is slammed and locked again, I try to calm myself down. Lily's voice comes to mind.

Dierna, calm down. You told me once that that man is not worth getting angry or upset over. If that were true then, it's even more true now.

That begins to work. I know I must clear my mind to think. As long as I'm in a rage comparable to Cuchulainn after a battle I am of no use to anyone.

Preparations at the Spinning Horn
Author: Emma Riley
Date: 10-31-02 18:22

The Spinning Horn was opening in a few days and my parents were frantically trying to get everything ready for the grand opening. Things were magically being placed all over the large room and my father was busy testing out his new equipment.

My father, John Riley, had graduated first in his class from Silverspell's Gourmet Institute, where he had specialized in Muggle cuisine. The Spinning Horn would feature both food cooked magically and that cooked in the Muggle fashion (or in what my father believes is the Muggle fashion). This is why the Horn has been so popular elsewhere. Some of them have even been known to employ real Muggles, though my father feels confident he can bake and saute as well as any non-magical person.

"Emma! That box of supplies goes over there!" My mother scolded as I got lost in my thoughts.

"Yes, mom." I placed the box marked 'Muggle Gadgets 3' next to the others.

I had not gotten much time to explore Hogsmeade yet, though I was looking forward to it. I would need something to continue keep my mind occupied after these first few hectic days. I missed Canada and I missed my friends. At least I did have Reggie, my angora ferret, so I was not completely lonely.

I scampered up to my temporary room above the restaurant - I had not bothered to unpack much, since I would be going to Hogwarts before too long. It just didn't seem worth it. Reginald was sulking in his cage when I got there. I hurried over and lifted the lid, scooping up the furry creature who seemed even less impressed about being picked up than he had about being locked up.

"Oh stop it, you sooky baby! Enjoy it now, as we'll be moving again soon."

Rites of Passage
Author: Ethan Somerset
Date: 10-31-02 19:49

Ethan was napping on the couch in Viktor's apartment when they came for him. Quite suddenly, figures clothed in black, hooded cloaks came bursting into the apartment. They quickly closed in on him, preventing any attempt at escape. As they forcefully jerked him to his feet, other disguised figures rushed into the bedroom in search of Viktor. They exercised equal severity upon the Bulgarian, who struggled gently against his captors. Like Ethan, he knew that these were Koyla's agents and that they had come to take the initiates to their final phase of the induction process, but he was also aware that as far as these agents knew, Viktor and Ethan hadn't anticipated this raid.

Both men feigned ignorance and cast worried glances at each other during their violent abduction. In the midst of the excitement, Ethan nearly forgot about the plan the other aurors had implemented for this very occasion. He could feel the gemstone watch rub against his wrist as the black-robed figures continued to exercise their dominion over him.

At the same time, any confusion that may have swarmed over Viktor during the initial moments of the seizure vanished and clarity flickered in his eyes. "Wait!" he shouted. "Ze candle in ze vindow. Pleeze put eet owt zo zat ze kurtanz don't being catch on fire."

Ethan held his breath, unsure of whether Koyla's agents were even listening to Viktor's plea, but to his great relief, one of the figures moved toward the window and snuffed out the flame. Both men started to relax a little because they knew that the aurors were tracking them with the location charm on Ethan's watch. They allowed Koyla's men to slip hoods over their faces so that they would not know how to get to the secret location of the initiation site.

Much time had passed from the beginning of the capture until their arrival at the site. At least, Ethan thought much time had passed, but he honestly couldn't be sure. When the hood was removed from his head, Ethan breathed in the fresh air and took in his surroundings. What he saw was a sight he'd never forget.

Koyla was flanked by the black-clothed figures, who kept their faces covered by the hoods of their cloaks. Familiar faces were also standing along the ranks, most notably Grigori and Stefka Zhivko. Ethan and Viktor were not the only inductees present. Three others both men had frequently seen at Koyla gatherings were standing alongside them.

Koyla nodded to one of his followers, who briefly left the room and returned with an unconscious man floating in the air before him. The man was moved into the center of the room and lowered to the floor. Ethan watched as the hooded figure muttered something under his breath, causing the man on the ground to regain consciousness.

Lost in confusion and fright, the man started to tremble. Koyla indicated for the first initiate to step forward. A young woman with dark hair and brilliant blue eyes stepped into the center circle and stared down at the man before her.

"Kill him," Koyla demanded.

Ethan gasped inwardly and Viktor visibly tensed at his side. Where were those aurors?

The woman raised her wand and without the slightest bit of hesitation cast one of the Unforgiveable Curses on the trembling man. A bright green light flashed over the Muggle and he collapsed in a crumpled heap on the ground.

Ethan swallowed hard. Maybe the spell on the watch didn't work...

Koyla beckoned the woman forward and asked her to kneel before him. "You have done well, Irina. Welcome to the fold." He bade her to rise and join the file of followers standing at his side. Then, he had one disguised agent clear the room of the body while another one brought in the next victim.

She was a young girl, aged 15 at the most. As her limp body was set to the ground and the counterspell cast over her, Koyla nodded to Viktor. The Bulgarian slowly stepped forward and gazed down at the girl kneeling below him. Her eyes were wide and almost held a glint of recognition in them. Ethan almost thought he saw her mouth the words, Viktor Krum?

Koyla wasted no time in making his next demand. "Cruciatus curse."

If it were possible, the girl's eyes became even wider and her lip began to quiver. Ethan wracked his brain for some kind of diversion or way to stall Koyla from causing another casualty, but his mind went completely blank. Damnit, where are those aurors?

Viktor, too, thought deeply for a way to save this girl's life. In the meantime, he slowly raised his wand...

Micheal's Thoughts
Author: Dierna ní Cíaran
Date: 11-01-02 06:54

"It is my belief that the disappearances are connected," Michael began. "The first of the three to vanish was your granddaughter, a close friend of Dierna's. In fact, Dienra vanished while searching for Tennille. That would make her a kind a lure; it is also a blow to the Order of the Phoenix, and you and the head auror personally.

The last message I received from Dierna said she was told to meet someone on the cliffs just outside Hogsmeade. Dierna has connections to many different groups that are fighting, or could fight against Voldemort: the aurors being the most obvious, the Order of the Phoenix, and the Irish Fiana, though that is less well known. She has information, and a lot of it. That makes her an obvious target, quite apart from the fact that she is quite the successful auror. Many would be happy to have the new head auror out of the way. As for Mr. Potter, well that is obvious, for the most part. He is also the godson of Dierna, and can be used to blackmail her into cooperation. No doubt the same use can be had for Tennille, as well. There is no way she's going to be submissive just because she has been captured." Michael pauses, to let this sink in. "I do believe that the three are alive. There are many people around the ministry who would be quite pleased to inform me otherwise, if they were not. Lucius Malfoy, for example. Incidentally, he took an unspecified amount of holidays just before Dierna vanished. The next day so did all his ilk - meaning the supposedly 'reformed' death eaters. It seems more than coincidence to me that they should go on holidays suddenly just as Dierna becomes MIA." Michael pauses again. "If this Snape is going to spy, he will be VERY careful. Because Lucius Malfoy is also there, and as much as I dislike the man, he is VERY intelligent."

Dumbledore nodded. "Thank you, Michael, is there anything else?"

"Just one thing, a question I wish another opinion on. Before the head auror left to find her friend, she gave me strict instructions not to alter any plans that we'd made. She said she won't crack and betray the aurors. And I believe her. She is no coward, nor is she a traitor. However, there are ways of gaining information without any fault of the informant. I am worried that if Dierna is not sufficient demure for her "hosts", such a method may be used on her. Considering such a possibility, should I listen to her orders, or formulate a plan B?"

What's Cooking?
Author: Hermione Granger
Date: 11-01-02 18:38

Hermione and Gabriel both slept late the next morning, a consequence of having spent most of the night talking instead of sleeping. After stretching and dragging their tired bodies from the bed, the pair padded downstairs to get some breakfast. The house was empty, save for Crookshanks who was quite busy clawing at the Victorian sofa in the formal living room. Both of the Granger parents had returned to work now that Hermione was back home and could properly keep Gabriel entertained.

"So, what are you going to cook?" Gabriel asked, eyebrows raised.

Hermione retrieved two bowls from the cabinet and placed them on the island countertop in the center of the kitchen. "Cereal." She grinned playfully and added for clarification, "You pour the cereal in the bowls and then add milk."

Gabe feigned shock. "I'm impressed. Wherever did you learn such a complex thing?"

"I read about it," replied Hermione. She smiled and proceeded to cook breakfast, tossing dry cereal at Gabriel every once in a while. As they ate, they discussed their plans for the day and then broadened their conversation to include any plans they had for the entire summer.

The Burrow was a hot topic for discussion. "You'll really like it there, Gabe. The Weasleys are such nice people, just beware of the twins. They're quite fond of tricks and pranks, but maybe you can show them a thing or two yourself!"

Hermione swirled her spoon in the bowl of milk and squashed a few soggy bits of cereal as she thought about Ron. What would things be like when Ron and Gabriel meet face to face? What would they think about each other?

Suddenly, she remembered that she had a few letters to write. "Before we go anywhere today, I need to write a letter to Ron and another to Hagrid. They'll be wanting to hear from me. I can't wait to tell them about you." She smiled.

Meeting Miss Gryffindor
Author: Angelina

I handed the house elf called Dobby my things and we began to walk. "You really care about Mr. Potter don't you?" I asked and Dobby looked at me and nodded as his batlike ears shook. "Very much Missy Gryffindor, very much. He helped give Dobby his freedom. He helped give Dobby a sock."

We stopped as the elf showed me a sock that would fit someone of Harry's built and he smiled. "This is Harry Potter sir's own sock from his own foot. Dobby won't take it off till Harry Potter sir is safe again at Hogwarts."

I smiled at the elf's gesture of friendship. I had to smile as we continued to walk towards McGonagall's office. "That's very noble Dobby," I remarked. "I think Harry would love to know you thought about him all this time."

Dobby looked up at me. His big eyes seemed to be tearing up as I spoke those words. "Hardly anyone has called Dobby noble." He sniffled and we both stopped. I saw that he was on the verge of crying. I then noticed we were not far from McGonagall's office. Kneeling down, I gently took the books from Dobby's hands as he began to well up. "Dobby, you miss Harry Potter, don't you?"

The elf again shook his head and then began to wail. The sound echoed through out the halls and it became so loud that I had to cover my ears. "Dobby, please!" I shouted and he seemed to calm a bit. I uncovered my ears and then reached into my pocket and pulled out a handkerchief. I then handed it to Dobby, who looked at it, then blew his nose with a very loud "HONK!!!"

I looked around, then saw McGonagall's office door open and the professor stood there in the doorway looking at the two of us.

Great Aunt Morgana's Castle
Author: Ledara Knight
Date: 11-02-02 19:49

Ledara had enjoyed the first of the summer vacation. This would be the first time that she would see her Great Aunt Morgana's castle in Scotland. It was situated in the highlands, surrounded by a bluish mist.

Dearlag, who was half giant and half normal, sort of like Hagrid, had met Ledara at Kings Cross station, and they left together. They rode back to Morgana's castle in a flying carriage. It was enchanted centuries ago so muggles would only see it as a limo, or other form of auto in London traveling on the streets until they left the city to the country, and they took off into flight. The horses had beautiful wings. They glided along the clouds like they were running on snow.

But, now, it had been a couple of weeks, and Ledara and Great Aunt Morgana had begun to bond. Her castle was quite large. Many areas to discover. But, Ledara loved the library the most. So many books filled the gigantic room. Floor to ceiling. It even had books that Ledara would need for her 4th year at Hogwarts. She began her studies then and there.

Ledara did have a strange feeling about a rather large tapestry that hung over the library's huge fireplace. She had gotten used to the paintings and photos being "alive" at Hogwarts, but, the tapestry was something different.

On it was a wizard standing next to a seated lady. She wore a golden crown and her ears seemed to be a bit pointed, like that of an Elf or Faerie. She couldn't take her eyes off of it. The lady was so beautiful. Then she noticed the amulet that the lady wore had begun to glow.

Ledara got up from the chair she was in and approached the tapestry. She climbed upon the huge mantle and move cautiously over to get a better look of the amulet. It seemed alive. She brought up her right hand and started to touch it when she heard from behind her:

"Ledara, do not touch that! You are not ready for it yet." Her Great Aunt Morgana had entered the room and caught her.

"Who is the Lady, Aunt Morgana?" Ledara asked.

Morgana sat down in her chair and had Ledara sit in the chair next to hers. "Perhaps it is time you knew your heritage, little one." Morgana began. "Our family goes back many generation. Many Wizards, Witches, Sorcerers and Sorceresses have come and gone through the generations.

Our family's magic goes back quite far. Do you know the story of King Arthur Pendragon?"

She nodded and said, "Yes, Aunt Morgana. He was the son of King Uther Pendragon. Arthur was taught by the Wizard Merlin. Arthur also married Princess Guenivere, who later had an affair with Sir Lancelot.

King Arthur died in battle against his son Mordrid. Both were have said to have died, but, King Arthur was to have been taken to the island of Avalon, where he waits to be reawakened."

Morgana nodded. "But there is much more, Ledara. Look at the Wizard on the tapestry. Do you know who he is?"

Ledara looked. Her eyes widened and she gasped. "Merlin? That's Merlin?"

Morgana nodded. "And the Lady?"

"It can't be. That's his love, Nimue. She was said to be a Faerie Princess? Did they marry?"

Morgana sat in silence. Ledara was correct. She couldn't believe it. The great Wizard Merlin and the Princess Nimue. It was mind boggling for Ledara. Morgana stared into the crystal of her staff. It's bluish/purple light glowed softly.

"It is time you knew, Ledara. Do you know what your middle initial "N" stands for?"

Ledara sat for a moment, then looked in amazement. "Nimue? I am named for the Princess Nimue? We are their descendants?"

Morgana smiled. Now she knew. And it was only the beginning for Ledara...

Writer's Block
Author: Gabriel Baine

Following their breakfast, Gabriel lumbered up to the bathroom. Hermione thought he might have wanted to take a shower and she took the opportunity to start on her letters immediately. Not long after she had settled down and began writing to Hagrid, Gabriel bounded into her room and leaped on her bed. Dropping her quill in surprise, Hermione jumped up from her desk and tried to pull Gabriel from the bed by one of his feet. Having a complete strength advantage over Hermione, Gabriel submerged beneath the covers and threw them over his head.

"Gabriel! Gabriel get out of my bed!" laughed Hermione despite having just noticed the ink splotches on her parchment from the quill. There was no movement from beneath the bed covers, but she knew he had the slyest expression on his face at that moment. Acting innocent, Hermione tried to plead with him, "Please. Please get out of my bed Gabriel. Please!" Still no sound or motion came from beneath. Hermione thought to herself for a second and then a smile spread across her face as an idea formulated in her head.

Hermione guessed where Gabriel's midsection might be and began feverishly tickling and poking him in the abdominals. Instantly Gabriel was begging for mercy while he was shaking hysterically. Hermione tugged on the covers and they gave way until Gabriel pulled back forceably causing Hermione to fall forward into the bed. While the annoyed look on her face would stopped any other, Gabriel was only encouraged and brought the covers back around him so that only his head was visible.

"You fight dirty," said Gabriel with a wicked expression on his face.

"No. I'm not going to fall for it this time Gabriel. None of your little tricks. You made me blotch ink all over my letter to Hagrid. Get out..." started Hermione before she stopped and looked at him. "You didn't take a shower did you?"

"No...I'm still sleepy though," said Gabriel, this time he flashed a pitiful puppy look at her.

"Ew!" Hermione protested, "My bed is going to have boy smells now." With that Hermione stood up with an arrogant air about her and looked selfishly down at him. Gabriel smiled again and reached out from the covers to retrieve her pillow. He moved it in close, laid his head down on it and waited defiantly for her response. Hermione shook her head hopelessly and went back to her letters muttering to herself, "Just great. Sixteen years old and he hasn't grown up a bit."

Gabriel meanwhile closed his eyes with a smug smile on his face.

Trying to Explain >_<*
Author: Neo Anderson
Date: 11-02-02 23:31

Neo stood on the bow of the Ferry, grinning. Of course you know what he was thinking about. "Wow! What a neat girl, Shayna....." he said quietly. The sun was beginning to set. Neo's mother and Father were on the other end of the boat, so that gave Neo some time alone...

A couple of minutes passed and Neo could now see Dublin, Ireland. He never realized how relieved he was to be home at last, even if he wasn't quite there yet...

As Neo was still daydreaming, his mother approached to him to stand next to him. "So Nicholas, how was your time at Hogwarts?" she asked. Neo looked at her. "Mum, call me Neo. I thought we agreed that you'd call me Neo from now on!" he complained.

His mother smiled. "Oh Nicholas, I never agreed to anything. Besides that name is ridiculous!" she said. Neo grunted. His mother stroked his hair. Neo watched the sunset, and zoned out into his thoughts again. His mother looked at him.

"So did you make any new friends besides Prote at Hogwarts?" she asked.

"Mm-hmm" said Neo. His mother stared. "Really? Who?" she asked. Neo (apparently still daydreaming) grinned. "Her name is Shayna..." he responded. His mother's grin widened. "Her? You met a girl?" she said. Neo then realized what he was saying. He looked at his mother, eyes wide. "No wait...!" he said.

"Thomas! Thomas come here!" his mother said. Neo buried his head in his hands. Oh no...... he thought, with his father arriving at the scene. "What is it Rosemary?" he asked. Rosemary smiled. "Have you heard of Nicholas' new friend?" she asked. Thomas shook his head. "No," he said looking at Neo, who just looked at the water.

Maybe if I jumped... thought Neo. "Nicholas has found a girlfriend!" Rosemary exclaimed loud enough, that the people around them stared at them. Thomas smiled greatly. "My god! This is great news!" he said. Neo looked up blushing greatly. "She's not my girlfriend!" he said. Rosemary just smiled. "Oh don't be so modest!" she said. Neo grumbled. Thomas patted Neo on the back. "Denial is to be expected. Way to go son!" he said. Neo pulled on his hair. "For the last time, she is NOT my girlfriend!!" he said through gritted teeth.

Thomas and Rosemary looked at each other. "We should call all our relatives now that our boy has found himself a girl," said Thomas. Rosemary shook her head in agreement. "Yes, and all our friends and neighbors!" she said. Neo has had enough. He ran to the back of the boat screaming at the top of his lungs.

Returning Home...
Author: Annie Paul
Date: 11-04-02 06:49

After my shopping trip to Diagon Alley I quickly went to my room with my supplies and began to go over things. I heard of a game called Quidditch and wondered what it could be. Opening a book called "The History of Quidditch," I began to brush up on the subject and Quidditch teams.

I was good in Cricket but this made things hard, trying to make heads or tails for that matter of the sport seemed at first quite challenging but after reading some more I finally figured it out.

As I read that and started on another book on a subject called Herbology a knock sounded on my bedroom door. "Annie you have a visitor." It was the voice of the family maid Victoria and the door opened. My friend Bridget entered and saw all my school supplies including Morgana. "Blimey, Miss Conner won't accept this stuff next year you know that," she said as I closed the book.

"I'm not going back next year," I replied. "Mum and dad have taken me out. I'm going to a new school this fall." Bridget looked at me wide eyed. "WHAT? Not going back? Why?"

I then began to tell her about my being accepted to Hogwarts and asked her if she remembered the dress incident. Bridget laughed as I asked her that. "Don't I? It's the talk of the whole school," she said between laughs. "That was me Bridget. I'm a witch." Bridget stopped laughing and just looked at me. "You're pulling my leg right?" she asked and I shook my head. "I'm serious. I couldn't believe it myself and now look at all of this."

Bridget got off my bed and went to Morgana who gave a small hoot. "It's real!" She squealed and turned to me. "My friend is a real witch," she said in a dazed tone. As she said that I felt my heart sink. "Will she stop being my friend after all these years?" I wondered then she balled her hands up into fists and squealed again. "THIS IS SO COOL!!" I felt relieved after she did that and she bounced down on the bed. "So when do you go?" I looked at my letter and it said Sept. 1. Bridget looked at me and sighed. "You'll write me won't you?"

I laughed. "Of course. Morgana will deliver your letters. When you write back give her the letter and she'll make sure I get it. Oh just be sure to give her a treat when she delievers O.K." Bridget and I hugged and she promised then we went over my books.

An Owl in San Francisco
Author: Oreileah McCoi
Date: 11-04-02 18:33

She sighed softly as she laid on her bedroom floor. This has got to be the most boring summer she had ever had. She looked over at her book and sighed. She should be on a cruise ship headed toward the Bahamas, but -no- she was stuck at home because her mother had gotten sick. She sighed and rolled over onto her stomach and picked up her book. "Well, it gives me a chance to finish this." She said, before reaching over and turning on her stereo. She started her Fiona Apple CD and opened her book. About twenty minutes later there is a scratching at her window. She looks up, doesn't see anything at first and turns back to her book.

A minute or two the same scratching sound. She looks up and sees an owl at her window. She cants her head to the side. "Alright. I know I've got to be loosing my mind." She said as she set her book down and stood moving to the window and opening it. The owl deposited an envelope on the windowsill and simply flew off.

She shrugged and picked up the envelope and opened it. It was a letter of acceptance, to some place she didn't remember ever applying to.

Dear Miss McCoi,

We are pleased to inform you that you have been accepted to Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry.

She dropped the letter and shook her head, surely this must be some kind of mistake. Witches and wizards don't exist. Do they? According to this letter they obviously do. She picked up the letter and walked out of her room, door closing like a strong gust of wind had hit it, but there had been no breeze.

She knocked on her parents' door, and entered when given permission. "Mama, I just received a letter from "Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry" I've been accepted." she said showing her mother and father the letter. She leaned against their bed and crossed her legs at the ankles.

"Well Jacob, it seems we have a choice to make." Her mother said to her father, as she waited rather impatiently to hear what they were going to decide. It seemed as though the entire room's air had changed, tingling with electricity. She sat down on the floor next to her parents' bed, and wanted to read the letter again. With out even asking her mother for it, the letter lifted itself and floated over to land in Orei's lap.

Her parents blinked. "Well it looks like our choice is made." It was from that moment on that her parents knew that witchcraft and wizardry did exist. Orei smiled and stood, running to hug her parents.

"Thank you. I should go start packing. I don't know what to bring, I don't know what to do!!!" she said as she ran out of their bedroom and into her own.
