Charging
Author: Isolde
Date: 02-21-02 15:23
Isolde tucked the quaffle safely under her arm and began zipping through the air towards the Slytherin goal hoops. She did her best, weaving in and out of the other players, nearing closer and closer to the goals. Suddenly, the ball slipped from her grasp. She fumbled for it, but it fell from her fingers straight back into the arms of Alicia.
"Damnit!" Isolde muttered, turning her broom quickly to follow Alicia. As she jerked her broom around, her eyes landed on Harry, who was hovering in the air searching for the snitch. Draco flew over to Harry and the two began circling each other.
Isolde narrowed her eyes at Harry, who was too busy concentrating on Draco. Leaning forward on her broom, she turned away from Alicia and charged straight for Harry. He almost didn't see her coming. Startled, he lost his concentration for a moment and gave a worried gaze to Isolde.
She smiled slightly, but the grin wiped off her face almost as quickly as it had appeared. A bludger came barreling straight towards her, but luckily, she moved out of its way in a flash. She resumed her attention on Harry with every intent on making him feel as uncomfortable as possible.
Leaving the
Game
Author: Majandra
Date: 02-21-02 15:35
Majandra finds she can't concentrate very well on knitting. She keeps getting jostled as those around her are up and down cheering and yelling. Also, she still hasn't spotted Hagrid. She knows he's there somewhere as he'd never willingly miss a game Harry is in.
To top it off, she's realized she doesn't have the wing measurements she wrote down for making the cute little pigs sweaters.
Majandra climbs to the highest seat to look once more for Hagrid. Sighing dejectedly at not spotting him, Majandra gathers her things and heads back to her room.

Majandra walks into her room just as a large, grey owl come pecking at the window. She opens the window to allow the owl in and it sweeps around before dropping a package in her hand.
"For me?" She asks as she rips off the brown wrapping. "Wonderful! I was hoping this would come soon!" Majandra exclaims as she looks down at a copy of Home Brewing: 1001 Easy Recipes for Any Witch or Wizard, Even the Idiots by Kallie Kauldrin. The owl hoots expectantly at Majandra who says, "Oh, yes, sorry!" as she retrieves a long strip of beef jerky she keeps for such occassions. Majandra has already paid for the book so the owl doesn't need to wait for her to count out money. It hoots again before accepting the jerky and flies away.
Majandra places the book in a basket along with the yarn and needles she had at the game, the measurements she came to get, Hagrid's sweater, some jerky for Fang, and several more skeins of yarn, assorted colors of course. Very happy with the thought of going to Hagrid's sweet little hut to work, Majandra starts humming a tune as she walks out of the castle.

Potter?

Draco starts to fly behind Harry. Tailing him Draco shouted, "Hey, Potter?! Try not to swallow the snitch if you get it!"
The other Slytherins laughed, and Draco continued to tail Harry...

Harry Potter ducked down quickly as the bludger wizzed past Isolde and straight towards his head. Harry looked down to see a quite sore looking Clara Devaki as it missed him. Isolde swooped down upon Harry again and his Firebolt bucked as he swerved to miss her. Harry became confused and felt as though he were loosing his grip on the Firebolt and reached outward for support, hitting Isolde and causing her to go into a short free fall while she regained control.
"FOUL!" Madame Hooch was blowing her whistle as boos errupted from the Slytherins, and a few from the Hufflepuffs and Ravenclaws.
Harry was starting to forget what was happening around him. Isolde disappeared momentarily, but within a short time the vixen of the match had returned. In no mood to deal with another foul, Harry sped away in a flash with Draco following behind him thinking he had seen the snitch. Suddenly Isolde appeared in front of Harry and he slammed into her when she paused with a wicked grin.
"FOUL!" Madame Hooch blew the whistle again. Harry luckily caught his glass as they flew forward of his face with the impact. Isolde was now far below him rubbing her side, obviously not realizing how poor an idea she had just had. Hooch gave him a very sour look from a ways below.
Better Make
Way for Slytherin
Author: Simon Samhain
Date: 02-21-02 19:53
Simon sat in Draco's place between Crabbe and Goyle in the Slytherin stands to cheer on Draco and the team. It was going very well for the Slytherins when Harry Potter was fouled by Madam Hooch...
"Great! Serves those stinkin' Gryffindors right! Thinking that they are the best house, well.." Simon shouts, "BETTER MAKE WAY FOR SLYTHERIN! GET 'EM DRACO!"
He whispers, "Crabbe, Goyle, follow me. I have a most wicked plan, hahahaha."

Amelia was standing up now. She kept yelling and shouting along with other Gryffindors who were watching. It was obvious that Isolde had made those happen on purpose.
Amelia rolled her eyes as the second foul was called. Wot way to try ta win.. But nothing could be done, so she just continued cheering her house team on.
"GO GRYFFS! GO HARRY GO GEORGE GO FRED GO SAMMI GO ANGELINA GO KATIE GO ALICIA!"

Clara flew around the air, waiting to hit a bludger. Finally, one whizzed towards her. She whacked it hard with her club, and sent it spinning towards Harry, then cursed because she just missed him.
"#%@^#$%@#$^@#%..."
But...then her bludger that missed Harry...it knocked Angelina's pass off course. With a sly grin on her face, she flew off in search of another bludger to hit.
Quidditch and
Butterbeer
Author: Dobby
Date: 02-21-02 22:42
Dobby, hand firmly clamped around Winky's wrist, had rushed from the castle's kitchen towards the field. They arrived at the Pitch just in time to grab seats before the game started. Dobby is very exited to be watching the good and great Harry Potter play Quidditch.
Dobby is avidly watching the game and doesn't realize at first that Winky isn't still seated beside him. Once he becomes aware of her absence, Dobby begins looking around. He's flabbergasted to see her stealthily crawling towards a basket laden with frosted bottles of butterbeer. Dobby shouts at Winky but he's drowned out by loud cheering, clapping and stomping of many feet.
Winky's hand snakes into the basket and grabs two of the bottles. She twists off the cap of one and downs it on the spot. In shock over her actions, Dobby observes what looks like Winky letting out a long belch. Luckily at that same moment, another roar erupts from the crowd.
Dobby gets down on his hands and knees, and while avoiding the feet of several spectators makes his way towards Winky. She is just emptying the second bottle and grabbing for yet another when Dobby reaches her. To his utter horror, he sees the basket is at the feet of none other than the Hogwart's Astronomy professor.
"Winky!!" Dobby chastises, "Not right Winky be stealing lady professor's butterbeer!"
Winky opens her mouth to reply but all that comes out is a very loud, "Buuuuuuuuuuurp!"
Alcohol-Induced
Suspicions
Author: Bill Weasley
Date: 02-21-02 23:06
An hour had passed since Bill had received the cold shower from Briar Rose. His teeth had chattered, his lips had turned blue, and he had ended up bolting out of the bakery with nothing but a towel on. By now, the wizarding carafe of hot toddy had been drained and Bill was sitting on the floor with his legs in front of him and his back against the foot of the bed. The whiskey bottle and the decanter of brandy were still halfway full, though certainly not for much longer.
Bill reached over for the decanter and took a swig. His mind, though not at its clearest, was reeling with suspicion.
"Adriana," he mumbled between gulps of brandy, "Why do I get the fweeling I can't trusht you?" He knew there was something she was keeping from him. He could feel it everytime he was around her. Everytime he looked into her eyes, he could tell that she was hiding something important. "You shwould know that you can tell me an'thin'. Adriana, I can help you." His suspicions of her would no doubt remain until she came clean. He just had to ensure that he not make her any angrier.
His thoughts then turned from his dear Adriana to Charlie and Belladonna. That younger brother of his sure had fallen fast for the woman. Bill choked back laughter. Charlie had given Bella a pendant a few weeks ago...a pendant which claimed to show true love. "True love! Ha!" Bill spat, taking a hard swig of brandy.
Right now he didn't have any faith in true love. He didn't have any faith in love or women at this moment, and he felt that he probably wouldn't ever feel good about them again. For this reason he was lounging around on the floor of his room at the inn in nothing but a towel drinking himself silly.
His thoughts wandered to the astronomy professor and their first meeting earlier that fall. Bella had run into Bill and Charlie for the first time in years. She had been quite the flirt, playing with Bill's earring and sharing drinks with Charlie. Everyone who went to school with the three of them knew that Bella had had a thing for Charlie. But back then, Charlie had hardly even noticed she existed! How is it that now he has suddenly seen her as the greatest woman in his world? "Maybe there'sh more to her than we think," Bill mumbled, tapping his chin. "Maybe, maybe she casht a love shpell on him!"
Their relationship had moved fast. Too fast, in Bill's opinion. Of course, he never gave their relationship a second thought until today. The alcohol was obviously influencing his suspicious juices. How is it that Charlie had fallen so quickly for Bella? They had met briefly in the Three Broomsticks on that late September day. Charlie had been in and out of town on trips to help the cause, but they certainly didn't have all the time necessary to begin a serious relationship. Much of Charlie's time was spent in Romania and Bella was obligated to her students at Hogwarts. They certainly didn't see each other that often. How could their relationship move forward so damn quickly then?
Bill frowned, taking a hard swig of brandy. A month after that meeting at the Three Broomsticks, Charlie was already professing his true love to her. Shoftly after Halloween, the two spent considerable time in Romania together. Already a big trip for just the two of them after only being together for such a short time? "Shomethin' jusht doeshn't add up," Bill muttered.
He'd get to the bottom of Adriana and her big secret, given she ever lets him see her again. Bella was just asking for him to investigate her. He was stupid not to see it before. And then there was Briar Rose. What the hell was she doing with a jerk like Julian Valentine? What kind of decent person would associate herself with scum like him? Bill was determined to find out. But first, he was going to have a few more drinks and pine away for his girl while lounging around in another woman's bath towel.
Watching the
Game
Author: Dierna ní Cíaran
Date: 02-22-02 00:16
Dierna arrived early at the pitch and took a seat by Dumbledore and his granddaughter. Tennille had suggested meeting her here for the match, and Dierna had quickly agreed. She was anxious to watch Harry play. If he were even half as talented as his father, then there was really no competition. And from the talk from the crowd and watching him fly, it seemed young Harry had indeed inherited his father's skill.
Dierna doesn't even pretend to be impartial. After all, she is not a staff member. She cheers on Gryffindor, her old house with the others. It is almost possible to imagine she was back as a student. Almost. The two key people - James and Lily - are not here . . . and if she were a student, she would be in the air now, with the Lions.
Shortly after the game begins she sees Severus hold his arm as if it was aching. Then he suddenly stands up and walks away. It seems very uncharacteristic of him to suddenly leave this way. She makes a mental note to talk to Severus after the match. He could have some useful information. That is IF he cooperates, and with Severus THAT is very uncertain.
Re: Quidditch
and Butterbeer
Author: Belladonna

Bella suddenly can't stop giggling as her feet are tickled. She gives Charlie a playful shove and a grin.
"Hey, I'm trying to watch the game! If you don't stop that now, Charlie, I'm breaking out my wand and giving you a taste of your own medicine. My feet are so ticklish and you should know better."
She made a face as Charlie protested his innocence and gasped in shock as she saw that the cause of her feet being tickled was a house elf. She laughed, having grown up around the ones owned by her family. Matter of fact, Twinkle still cleaned her office and living quarters in the tower once a month or upon owl post to her mother.
She giggled as the house elf burped and another house elf began to look mortified. She smiled and took two bottles of butterbeer and handed one to each elf as she looked in the stands. Adriana was alone and Bill was nowhere in sight, along with Professor Sorcha. She got a wicked idea and hoped Charlie wouldn't mind the loss of her attention for a minute.
"Here, you go. Next time ask first, okay? Could you both do me a favor for two more butterbeers each? See that woman in the stand---Professor Fairchild? I'd like you to ask her and Professor Sorcha in the castle to meet Professor Sinistra in the tower for tea and cream buns tonight---dress code pajamas. Come back with their answers and I'll give you the butterbeers, that is if you'd be so kind to perform my errands. Please?"
She squeezed Charlie's arm as they both groan about the two fouls. So unfair. She wanted a champagne after the game, not a brandy. A win would be lovely. Of course, it would be nice if Charlie commented on her outfit. He had always liked girls who dressed slightly tarty and flirted. The second she had acted like that in the Three Broomsticks he finally knew she existed. She liked the change, especially since she was finding things about her she never knew were there in the first place.
She Shoots
Author: Isolde

Thanks to Clara's bludger, Isolde was able to regain the quaffle. She flitted past the other team members with astonishing speed. The closer she got to the hoops, the more adrenalin pumped through her body. Her eyes locked on Samantha, who was prepared to stop her from making a goal at all costs.
Isolde grinned and swerved to the right, causing Samantha to move to her left a little. With the left goal wide open, Isolde threw back her arm and sent the quaffle flying through the hoop.
Cheers erupted from the Slytherin side of the stands. "FARNON SCORES 10 POINTS FOR SLYTHERIN!" Lee shouted, ever so disappointed.

"FARNON SCORES 10 POINTS FOR SLYTHERIN!" Lee shouted!
"%^&$#@ SLYTHERINS!"
McGonagall shouted, "JORDAN! SWEAR ONCE MORE AND YOU'RE OUT OF THE GAME!"
"OH! SORRY PROFESSOR!"
"COME ON LIONS! KILL THOSE SNAKES!"
"SORRY PROFESSOR!"
"SLYTHERIN CAPTAIN DRACO MALFOY IS AFTER HARRY POTTER, WHAT A GIT!"
McGonagall got really angry, "JORDAN WHAT HAVE I TOLD YOU!? KEEP IT UP AND GRYFFINDOR WILL LOSE 5 POINTS THANKS TO YOU!"
"REALLY SORRY PROFESSOR!" Lee smirked.
Winky Be One
Deranged House-Elf
Author: Dobby
Date: 02-22-02 17:00
Dobby nearly grimaces as Winky takes the offered bottle and chug-a-lugs it without so much as a thank you. Dobby accepts the one handed his way but before he can say a word, the professor speaks.
Please?"
"Dobby be thanking Miss Professor Lady. One butterbeer bein' more than enough for Dobby. An' Dobby be apologizin' for Winky stealin' the Lady's butterbeer." Dobby twirls his finger near his head as he continues, "Winky not bein' right in the head."
Dobby, not wanting to leave the Pitch and risk missing an important play in the match turns to Winky. "Winky be goin' to castle with message for the good Professor Sorcha. An' Winky be owin' this Ma'am Professor Sinistra apology for takin' two bottles an' not be askin'."
Wing starts to reply but another loud, "Errrrrrrrrrrrp!" issues forth. Winky begins to drunkenly giggle as she says, "Winky be goin' to castle an' then Winky be back splickety lick... errrrrrp... lickety split with answer an' be gettin' Winky two more butterbeers."
Winky starts walking with an obvious stagger to her step. She peers over the stand's rail, lets her empty bottle drop, and begins giggling again as she watches it shatter down below.
Dobby's brow furrows at seeing Winky looking down to the ground without any fear. "Dobby be thinkin' Winky afraid of heights."
Winky fairly cackles. "Not bein' 'fraid when have lots o' good butterbeer." With that she reaches out quick as a flash and grabs the bottle Dobby holds, then goes tottering off as fast as her legs will allow.
Dobby yells after Winky but either she can't hear him over the crowd or she chooses to ignore him. Dobby sighs in resignation as he watches her swaying, retreating figure. Winky pauses long enough to throw back her head, upend the bottle and empty it, then tosses it over her shoulder before running in a stagger back to the castle.
Shaking his head, Dobby says to himself, "Winky no be watching herself, next thing Winky be knowin' she be robbin' The Three Broomsticks of all theys butterbeer. Winky bein' one crazy house-elf."
Dobby continues this conversation with himself as he keeps one eye on the game while walking over to the section of stands where Professor Fairchild sits. After stoping once or twice to cheer on Gryffindor and booing loudly when Slytherin scores, Dobby arrives in front of the Muggle Studies professor.
Little Miss
Homemaker
Author: Majandra
Date: 02-22-02
The humming Majandra literally skips as she heads to Hagrid's hut. Once there, she sets her basket on the table then bends over to peer at a cowering Fang hiding under the bed. "It's just me, you big baby." She laughs as he crawls out, immediately interested in seeing if Majandra has a treat for him. She gives him the jerky she brought and in return he fills her hand with slobber.
"Ooooooo, ugh! I appreciate the gift but next time keep it to yourself, hmmm?" Majandra teasingly says before picking up her new recipe book (in the slobber free hand of course) and, leaving the door open, walks back outside. After cleaning off her hand, Majandra sits down to thumb through the book.
"How's this one, Fang?" she asks, turning the book towards Fang. "Absolutely Awesome Ale for All that Ails"
Fang snorts, blowing out more slobber. "I guess that means you approve." Majandra laughs. "Well, that's settled."
Majandra spends the next little bit gathering the items she needs while thinking how lucky it is that Hagrid had all the necessary ingredients on hand. Once she's got everything set up and the recipe brewing just as the book says it should be, Majandra goes back into the hut.
First she pulls out the sweater for Hagrid and holds it up for Fang to see. "Like it?" Fang makes a whining noise and dives back under the bed.
"It's not for you silly, for Hagrid."
Fang comes back out from under the bed and starts snorting again. Majandra backs up out of his spray range so the sweater won't have slobber all over it. "I'll take that as another yes," she grins. After carefully folding the dark violet and goldenrod colored sweater and placing it on the table, Majandra takes her knitting, along with the little piggies' measurements, and goes back outside to work on one of the wing sweaters while watching over the brewing ale.

Smack It!
Author: George Weasley

George whizzed around on his broom, keeping an eye out for that nasty Bludger that, he swore, seemed to have a mind of it's own. Forget that it was enchanted, it's possessed!
Just then he saw it headed right toward him.
Whack!
He sent it in Azaelia Bramble's direction, then suddenly:
"Lia, watch out!"
George turned around. Pyrrhus had just warned the unaware Azaelia of the on-coming Bludger.
Crimeny! What're you doing!? George swore at Py in his mind.
