Reese became quiet into the game and suddenly, holding onto her French hat so it wouldn't blow off yelled, "Go Ravenclaw!"
Ginny stared at Reese and quickly said, "Reese, we're Gryffindor not Ravenclaw."
"I know that! But Sean's in Ravenclaw!"
Reese quickly grabbed her Fendi sunglass, which were quiet classic: black thick sunglasses.
She smiled at the players as they zoomed away on their brooms and once again, she shouted, "Go Ravenclaw!"
She crossed her smooth and shiny legs as she watched the game and a few boys behind turned their attentions on her but their eyes quickly left her legs as they were given a hard stare by Hermione when she saw them looking perversely at Reese.
Reese didn't notice and looked around and caught the sight of Draco, sitting in the Slytherin section of the Quidditch Stadium. Reese took her glasses off and saw he was reading the note she had given to Brady. Draco's eyes scanned the Gryffindor section and caught sight of Reese and as soon as Reese saw him looking at her, she winked at him and gave a dazzling smile.
I would do anything to be with him! Just anything! Ugh!
She quickly put on her sunglass again and turned attentions to the game she was falling in love with...especially since the guys looked adorable in their Quidditch uniforms!
Cheering
for Gryffindor
Author: Orieliah McCoi
Date: 07-20-03 22:19
Orei sat in the stands, watching the game, clapping and cheering loudly when Australia Kingston scored. She flickered her gaze toward Brett, smiling and thinking she would need to track him down after the game. Gaze flickered over the stands and sighed softly. Fingertips trailed lightly through her hair and she shifted in her seat.
If it wasn't for the fact that -everyone- Orei knew was here at the pitch, Orei might be holed up in the library reading through her potions or other class work, instead of being out here enjoying herself.
She would cheer ecstatically when Gryffindor scored, or blocked an attempt by one of the Ravenclaw player's to score. She quite obviously was enjoying herself, seeing as she needed a break from studying.
Return of
the Quaffle
Author: Remadi Ye
Date: 07-21-03 08:52
Remadi cheered as she saw Australia's quaffle go through the hoop. At least one of them could make a goal. She shook her head and got those pestering thoughts out of her head. They never helped in a game.
She raced after the other chasers, intent on getting the ball from Sykra's hands. Sykra passes the ball to Terry who shoots at the hoops. Ron is right there and catches the ball, then passing it to Natalie McDonald. All of them then race back towards the other side of the pitch.
Sykra is closing in on Natalie and she makes a quick pass to Remadi. Remadi goes to catch the quaffle but looses it at the last second to Sean as she is almost knocked off her seat by a bludger. Dean is right there and sends the bludger racing after the other team. Remadi quickly finds her seat again and flies after the quaffle once again, muttering in Chinese with frustration.
This wasn't looking like her best game.
Interception
and Foul
Author: Bronwyn Dewhurst
Date: 07-21-03 10:11
"It's MacDonald in possession," Bronwyn shouted, following the path of the quaffle with her eyes as it traveled from chaser to chaser at incredible speed. "She passes to Ye, and it's intercepted by Belgar!"
Roars of approval and delight ripped through the Ravenclaw portion of the stadium. Meanwhile, Sean tossed the ball to Terry, who shot below the hovering clouds with the quaffle clutched tightly in one strong hand. He kept changing the position of the ball on his body, especially as the Gryffindor chasers drew nearer. They were quite intent on bumping the ball away from his grasp. Suddenly, a bludger came spiraling in his direction. Terry rolled his shoulder enough to the point that the fierce ball merely grazed his cheek. He breathed a deep sigh of relief and continued on the path to the goals. Again, a bludger came at him and Terry jerked his broom suddenly towards the ground to avoid collision with it.
Instead, he collided hard into MacDonald. Madam Hooch blew on her whistle and called foul, and Terry was forced to give up the quaffle for Natalie's penalty shot. She maneuvered herself in front of Gabriel but "Baine blocks the shot! No Goal!"
Brownyn tucked a stray strand of golden hair behind her ear and announced, "The score remains, Gryffindor 10, Ravenclaw 0."
Warm and Cozy
Author: Kody
Date: 07-21-03 10:18
After the excitement of the foul, Kody groans when Ravenclaw loses the quaffle yet again. He sits on the edge of his seat as the chasers from one team gain possession only to lose it moments later to the other team, with neither team making much headway towards the goalposts. Kody suddenly jumps up to cheer as his team steals the quaffle from Gryffindor just seconds after that team had intercepted a pass from one Ravenclaw chaser to another. He sits back down and readjusts the blanket he brought over his knees and the girl beside him, apologizing to Emma for causing the warm woolen blanket to puddle around her ankles when he'd stood up.
On Emma's other side, Drake makes a show of tucking parts of the blanket around his own legs. Kody grins and stretches an arm behind Emma's back to give Drake a good natured shove.
"Hey, stop hogging! You want to be warm, bring your own blanket, Bennett."
He leans back and winks at Drake, allowing his arm to settle on Emma's shoulders. What a good friend to help him find an excuse to sit snuggled closer to Emma!
Boy, That
Smarts!
Author: H Potter
Date: 07-21-03 11:50
Harry splits his time between watching the action going on around him and keeping an eye out for the snitch. He pumps one fist in the air as Natalie takes the quaffle and starts speeding down the pitch. Harry sees Fynn aiming a bludger at his teammate and yells for her to watch out. Natalie's able to keep herself from being hit but the bludger catches just enough of the quaffle that Natalie loses her grip. Both she and Harry shout expletives that are bad enough he's glad the crowd is so noisy that neither Natalie nor he can be heard above the din.
Harry wheels his broom around to continue his snitch hunt but doesn't see the grinning Su Li until the bludger she hit is almost upon him. It smacks him square in the chest, the force painfully emptying his lungs. Fighting for breath as a reddish darkness threatens his vision, Harry tightly grips his broom as the momentum from the bludger put it in a sidespin.
Take as deep a breath as he dares, wondering if his sternum or a rib or two have cracked, Harry regains control and despite the pain radiating from his center, he gives a wave to show he's all right.
Going Muggle
Author: Captain Electron
Date: 07-21-03 14:46
Electron was about ready to leave. He looked the perfect picture of a Muggle, not a robe in sight, and he was holding a briefcase which held properly typewritten pages instead of parchment (his dream a while back had warned him to watch out for that). His wand was in there as well, of course, but cunningly disguised inside a poster roll.
The only little difficulty was Hendrix. Muggle singers might have strange ways, but he didn't know any that went round with owls on their shoulders, so he was going to drop Hendrix off for some "owl-sitting" before he went. He stuck his sunglasses on, but he knew he was safe enough because there was a Quidditch match on up at the school and the streets were mostly empty. The frosty sun glinted off the rims as he shut the door and set off for Nevvyn's Notions and Potions.
He enjoyed the walk there with nobody in sight and even though it was cold, the weather wasn't TOO bad. Hendrix flew ahead of him until they reached the shop, then settled back on his shoulder. He pushed the door open and the bells rang out.
"Howaya!" he greeted Nevvyn with a grin. "I was wondering if you'd mind looking after Hendrix for a while. I have to go and see my Muggle management in London, might have to stay overnight, and I can't bring him with me."
Watching the
Game
Author: Emma Crusher
Date: 07-21-03 14:54
Emma had gotten quite used to the brutality of the game, and this one was somehow better than her first experience with Hogwarts Quidditch. Of course, it didn't hurt having Kody sitting next to her. Well, and Drake as well.
It was a cold day, but the players didn't seem to mind all that much, and many of those in the stands had, like the three Ravenclaws, brought blankets to wrap themselves in.
The young girl leaned back and settled comfortably down in her seat, using Kody for that hint of extra warmth that made the game just that much more enjoyable.
Worrywart
Author: Ginny Weasley
Date: 07-21-03 16:07
Ginny cringes and grabs her own chest in empathy for Harry as the bludger slams his chest full on. She partially sits, partially stands, sucking in air as he fights to control his broom. When Harry gets his broom back on course and waves to show he's fine, even from here Ginny can see the pain still written on his face.
Ginny slowly eases down all the way to her seat, wondering when it was she came to be holding someone's hand. More like a death grip really. As Majandra reaches over and loosens Ginny's clasp, the redhead blushes and flashes a sheepish smile at the older girl. "I am soooo sorry, Maj!"
Majandra gives Ginny a reassuring pat on the knee. "Don't worry about it, Ginny. I used to react the same way to things whenever George was in a game."
Ginny shoots a relieved look at Majandra then mutters to herself, "One thing's for damn sure, I'm going to personally make see that Harry visits Madam Pomfrey after this is over."
Sugar Sugar
Author: Julian Valentine
Date: 07-21-03 20:00
Julian's grin grows to match that of Helena's. He closes the gap between them, a low growl emanating from the back of his throat. At the same sizzling moment their lips meet, the pair do a dance that ends with Helena's back pressed to the office door. Julian's hands roam down Helena's body, stopping at her nicely rounded, firm derriere to pull her closer. The kiss deepens, Helena's fingers wound tightly through Julian's hair.
When both finally pull back for air, Julian smiles at the gorgeous woman in his arms, his eyes looking happy for the first time in weeks, and states, "Cor, Helena, you have no idea how much I've missed you."
He suddenly moves away, only to take Helena's hand to direct her from in front of the office door. Jules swings the door open hard enough that it thumps against the wall and would have bounced back if not for his hand staying it. With a, "Remember where we were," Julian moves across the shop, scanning every inch to make sure a customer didn't come in while he was occupied in the office. When he reaches the shop door, Julian locks it then hangs up the Gone to Lunch sign.
Taking long strides, Julian quickly covers the distance to the office where Helena now stands in the doorway. An impish grin dances across his lips as he once more reaches for Helena's hand and pulls her to him, dropping another kiss on her delectable lips before leading her to the entrance of the secret room. Julian's grin grows wider as Helena gasps at her first sight of the hidden chamber. She swings her free hand in a wide arc, gesturing to the shelves of books. "These are all on the dark arts?"
Helena's other hand slips free of Julian's as she moves to examine the entire room. Julian sits down on one of the couches, folds his arms, and proudly replies, "Every last one of them. You saw for yourself that the shop side of the doorway is invisible. And this whole room is sound proofed with several spells as well as a number of protection spells and charms. Some of the kids from Hogwarts, our kind of people, make use of the room on Hogsmeade weekends."
Helena's circuit of the room complete, she comes to sit by Julian. "Brilliant! I'm impressed." Her lips curve into a wonderfully devilish smile, her tone filled with innuendo, "But then, Julian, you always were rather impressive."
Julian leans toward Helena, his voice husky, "Remind me where we left off in the office."
Giggling, Helena pulls Julian into her embrace as she reclines back on the couch.
Much, much later, in Julian's flat, Helena begins whipping up an omelet for two while Julian puts the closed sign on the door, takes care of the receipts from that morning, and puts the money in the safe. She hears him bounding up the stairs before very long and as he rushes into the kitchen, Helena points him to a bowl. "Toss the salad and carry it to the table. Then pour the wine."
By the time Julian has the salad dished up and the wine poured, Helena is placing two plates on the table. As they eat, they turn the conversation to serious topics, including Julian telling Helena of his broken engagement and of Chyler's death.
Helena sounds as bereft as Julian feels when she states, "I know how much you loved Chyler. I don't mean to sound selfish but I was so looking forward to getting to know her as the real me and not the goody two-shoes she thought I was."
Julian's gaze is watery as he reaches across the table and takes Helena's hand in his. "I miss her so much. Getting through the day without talking to her rips at me. Lysander's absence does too but at least he's alive somewhere, even if not happy at the moment."
Julian suddenly grins, "I just had the oddest sensation. It's as if Chyler's smiling on us right this second, heartily approving of the real you."
Casual Visit?

I look at the house where Ethan lives with his parents from a few doors down the road. At first glance, it seems to be a normal house - I wonder what the interior will be like? I approach it casually, and ring the bell. A woman answers the door, with a man close behind. I make a quick appraisal and say brightly.
"Hi! I'm Apollonia Solon a friend of Ethan's, form the Ministry. I heard Ethan was sent on a Vacation to de-stress, but didn't return after the break. I'm kinda worried about him - is he still here?"

I zoom away from the Slytherin dormitories, contemplating my next devious act, when I decide to get the two Quidditch teams currently playing. So, I speed away toward the Quidditch pitch, cackling dementedly. I reach the stadium very soon and set to work immediately, not wanting to get caught during my trickery. Quickly and quietly I zip toward the Ravenclaw locker room.
Working quickly, I open each locker in turn and take the robes from inside. Once I have all the robes, I staple them to the ceiling of the hallway outside the room. Then I move on to the Gryffindor locker room and repeat the process.
After that task is completed, I become invisible and float outside to watch the remainder of the game.
Unwanted Memories

She had no idea why on earth she had bothered to go to the match today. The outcome could easily be guessed, at least from what she heard about previous matches between Ravenclaw and Gryffindor. Potter was a brilliant seeker, as much as she hated to admit it. 'Even better than our own...' she mused. But then, she hadn't seen Draco's performance yet.
Gazing vacantly into space, her eyes fixed suddenly upon a Ravenclaw chaser. But it was not the current player she saw. No, her mind supplied the picture of quite another. Dark hair, almost black, a noble face, deep blue eyes that were emphasized by the blue of his Quidditch robes ... Stuart.
'No,' a voice screamed inside her head. 'Oh please, not again.' But there was no running away from herself. Slowly she stood and moved down the stairs, still wearing the indifferent face she was so proud of. No one could read her mind. No one.
'Stuart...' her mind supplied again. 'Stop it! STOP IT!' She wasn't going to run, she wasn't going to act like the frightened child she was at heart. 'You promised!' she thought angrily. 'You promised never to leave me. You promised.' Tears threatened to fall from her eyes and with difficulty she blinked them away. She was a Slytherin for crying out loud. It was bad enough that Malfoy had seen her crying.
Finally she reached the Entrance Hall. 'Just go to the Common Room, no one is there. Everything will be fine if you just reach the Common Room...' She repeated this over and over like a mantra. Yes, everyone was at the Pitch. She would be able to calm down there...
When she flung herself on a sofa, it was all she could do not to cry out in pain. Silently she sobbed into a cushion, her thoughts returning to the young Ravenclaw seeker she had only once seen playing. Her brother...

Maren offered Apollonia a smile and said, "No, I'm afraid he's not home." She didn't elaborate, and instead scrutinized the strange woman carefully. Her assessment of Apollonia was done through soft, kind eyes as if she was merely studying Ethan's friend as one would when meeting someone for the very first time. Her mind, however, pondered other things accented only when a gentle hand fell on her shoulder and a voice said, "Miss Solon, I don't recall Ethan ever mentioning you before." It was Ethan's father who spoke. "Would you like to come in?"
Maren tensed underneath his tender touch, but her sudden movement wasn't visible to any eye. She smiled brightly and said rather breathlessly, "Yes, please do come in, Miss Solon...Apollonia, was it?"
"Yes, Apollonia," she confirmed, and she stepped across the threshold and surveyed the interior of the house with interest. "You have a very lovely home," Apollonia said, finally resting her gaze on first Maren, then Dorian.
"Thank you," Ethan's father said, and he turned to his wife. "Why don't you fix some tea, Maren?"
She nodded her head and bustled into the kitchen while Dorian offered Apollonia a seat in the small living room off to the left of the front door. "Please, make yourself comfortable." She did, and Ethan's father took a seat in an old armchair by the window. "I must confess again that I don't recall Ethan ever mentioning your name before. You say you're from the Ministry?" Dorian asked.
Apollonia nodded, "Yes, we used to be co-workers before he joined the staff at Hogwarts. I heard from a mutual friend of ours that he left the school for a week of rest and relaxation. Is everything all right with Ethan?"
Dorian sighed deeply, resting both elbows on the arms of the chair. "Yes, and no. I'm sure you recall the tragedy in Bulgaria."
Apollonia nodded her head, and Dorian continued. "I'm afraid he's never fully-recovered from the events that took place there. Ethan..." He sighed again and tented his fingers together. "He's a good lad. He's very strong, but even the strongest wizards have weaknesses."
"It was a terrible tragedy indeed, and I imagine had I been in his shoes I may not have ever recovered either," Apollonia said. She paused as Maren returned with the tea and settled herself on the couch next to Apollonia. "I apologize if I'm intruding, but may I ask why Ethan hasn't returned to Hogwarts? It's my understanding that he hasn't been seen or heard of since he last left the school."
Dorian nodded his head slowly and exchanged a brief, solemn glance with his wife. All at once, tears started to trickle down her cheeks and she pressed her hands to her heart. "Oh," she cried, "I'm so worried about him!"
She pulled a handkerchief from her robe pocket and blew her nose, sighing deep, staggering breaths.
Dorian explained, "He left the day before he was due to arrive back at Hogwarts." This much was true, but here Ethan's father began to fib. "He told us he needed to leave for a while, to collect his thoughts in peace. I asked him to tell us where he would be going, but he refused to tell us. Said he'd contact us when the time was right. Told us not to worry, but we do..." He exchanged another look with Maren, who burst into another round of tears.
"Yes, I think about him everyday, every moment. He's hurting...He's not well," Maren said, sniffling. "But he's a grown man, and I suppose parents can't always control their children."
Apollonia nodded apologetically. "I hope he returns to you soon, and in good health."
"Thank you," Maren said, "it's very kind of you to come for a visit to check on him. I'll tell him you stopped by..."
Dorian nodded his head in agreement. "Yes, and we'll be sure and inform you of his return..."

Ethan's parents behave as they would toward anyone claiming to be a friend of their son's. They invite me in and make tea, giving me the change to examine the house's interior (or a small part of it, anyway). It is perfectly normal and respectable in every way. They make conversation, talking about Bulgaria and Ethan's dismay and pain at how it had ended.
They play this game well, I think to myself, as the conversation progresses.
After we have tea, I take my cue to leave. Maren - Ethan's mother - says, "Thank you, it's very kind of you to come for a visit to check on him. I'll tell him you stopped by..."
I'm sure you will. I think the thought, but smile instead. "Will you please? I'd be ever so appreciative!" On the way out I stop at the door, as if a sudden thought had occurred to me. "One last thing, alright two: do you have any idea at all where he'd be? Even a slight guess?? I shrug, self-depreciatingly. "Of course, tha's not my business, and perhaps I should leave the Auror's work to the Aurors. Which is a thought, since you are so worried about him, perhaps asking help from the Auror's is what you should do? I'm sure they'd be able to find him!"
Owl Sitting
Author: Nevvyn
Date: 07-22-03 18:15
The Captain steps inside the shop, to the accompaniment of the jingling bells on the door. With the exception of his owl on his shoulder, he is completely attired in Muggle apparel. He greets me with a hearty "Howaya?"
"By all the Gods, John! I wouldn't have known it was you without the dark glasses."
Explaining the reason for this "costume", he tells me the purpose for his visit. He wants me to watch over his owl while he is doing some business in London. "It would be my, or I should say "our", pleasure to look after Hendrix for a while." I reach into the drawer and pull out some owl treats. "A little something special," I say, holding them out. Hendrix flutters down to the counter and promptly makes himself at home.
"Well! That's a fine case of fidelity!" says John, with a chuckle. "Feel free to ask him to send a message, if you need to. He enjoys the exercise." He looks around the store then adds, "I should be back late tonight or early tomorrow, if that's all right."
"Of course it's no problem!" I reply. "You just worry about your music business and we'll take good care of your fine feathered friend!"
"I'd better be off, then!" he announces, donning his dark glasses. "Behave yourself!" This last is addressed to Hendrix, who is busily investigating the cabinets of colorful flasks and vials. He gives a soft hoot and a wink as the Captain makes his jingly exit.
