Pondering
Before the Afternoon Classes
Author: Hermione Granger
Date: 01-25-02 16:41
Hermione was furious with Harry. How dare he look at her paper while she was trying to work! Of all the nerve! Of course, she wasn't really working. She was doodling. Doodling hearts. Doodling hearts and writing Ron all over her paper. She hoped Harry would at least have the decency to keep her secret to himself.
She sighed and gathered together her books for her afternoon classes. Defense Against the Dark Arts was up first. Their new instructor, Prof. Figg, was very good. Quite...different...from the last.
After that class, they had Care of Magical Creatures with Hagrid. Hermione loved that class, not only because her friend was the instructor, but also because it was an easy grade. Not that she didn't like challenges in her classes. In fact, she down right demanded them. But this class was different from the rest, and for that she was thankful.
Their last class of the day would be astronomy with Prof. Sinistra. Hermione enjoyed that class, even though it was in the middle of the night when she would rather be sleeping or studying. Of course, Hermione always seemed to be out past dark whenever Harry and Ron were around.
Harry. Oooh. He made her so mad! How could he accuse her of causing him to lose house points. He was the one who was looking at her paper instead of concentrating on Prof. McGonagall's fascinating lecture. He was the one who laughed out loud and disrupted the class. She wasn't doing anything wrong!
Hermione shook her head and checked the time. "Class is starting in a few minutes. We should be on our way."
Ron gathered his books under his arm and turned to wait for Harry.
"And Harry," Hermione said coldly, "Try not to lose us anymore house points. We want to win the cup this year."
She turned on her heel and left the common room, leaving Harry and Ron behind.
"What's her problem?" Ron asked Harry. Harry shrugged, debating whether or not he should tell Ron what he witnessed in Transfiguration class. He decided against it and said, "It's Hermione, you know? C'mon. We should get to class." And with that, the boys exited the common room and made their way to Defense Against the Dark Arts class.
Lunchtime
Daze
Author: Sykra Sawyer
Date: 01-25-02 18:08
It was lunchtime and Sykra, having no more classes for the day, wasn't even thinking about eating. She was just sitting there with her head upon the table, in a sort of daze.
"Yo Sykra...Snap outta it!" Cho waved her hand in front of Sykra's face then looked at Aradia. What is wrong with this girl?"
Aradia tilted her head and looked at their friend. "Not sure...she doesn't seem to be in there..." She then giggled, picked up a glass of water, and poured it onto the dazed girl.
"WHA HUH WOT WHERE AM I?" Sykra shot up. "N why 'n' bloody 'ell am I all wet?" Cho and Aradia looked at each other before bursting into laughter. Sykra glared at them, realizing what Aradia had done. "Nice friends you are..." She put her head back down and went back into her daze.
Aradia rolled her eyes as Cho stated, "What a person...she did that to Sammi on the train...then we do it to her...and we're called 'nice friends'..." She laughed slighty as Aradia agreed.
"Sykra is quite the character..."
"Ya know...I may be in a daze but I can still hear..." The three Ravenclaws exchanged looks then laughed.
"Sykra you're jus' too much..."
"Yeah...yeah..." Sykra stayed in her dazed position. "Hey Cho?"
"Yes, oh klumzy one?" Aradia laughed at Cho's remark.
"Ha ha...who's that dude over there?"
"What...who...huh?" Cho and Aradia both glanced in the direction Sykra indicated.
"Him!! He keeps glancing this way...it's startin' to sorta freak me out..."
2-3 PM To
Herbology We Go
Author: Bronwyn Dewhurst
Date: 01-25-02 20:13
The morning had been busy, but the afternoon would be even busier. Bronwyn and Kendra had had Transfiguration at nine and History of Magic at ten. They lucked out with a long lunch break, but it did nothing to satisfy them for what their afternoon would bring. Defense Against the Dark Arts at one, Herbology at two, Care of Magical Creatures at four, and Astronomy at midnight. Six classes in one day was enough for Bronwyn to dub Monday, Hell Day. Not that she wasn't cheery on Hell Day. Nothing could keep her from smiling, it was just constantly being in class that kept her from claiming Monday as her favorite day of the week.
Kendra, on the other hand, loved Mondays. Sure, she didn't care for morning classes, but that was only because she needed her coffee in the mornings or she wouldn't be able to stay awake. Classes were fun for the Hufflepuff. She couldn't get enough of learning, which was something she and Hermione Granger had in common. This quality Bronwyn caught on to quickly when she first arrived at Hogwarts several years ago. She was thankful that she had found Kendra such a good friend early on, because her diligent ways were very influential on Bronwyn.

After Defense Against the Dark Arts, Bronwyn and Kendra wandered down the halls to their next class.
"I wonder where Toby is," Bronwyn pondered, smiling at her best friend.
Kendra rolled her eyes and answered, "He doesn't have any classes today, so he's probably sleeping."
"That's so unfair!" Bronwyn squealed, "My Hell Day is his Heaven Day."
Laughing, Kendra said, "That was lame."
"I know, I know," Bronwyn put up her hands defeated as they emerged out of the castle. Several students were already making their merry way down to the greenhouse where Herbology class was held. The two friends joined the crowd and eagerly waited for class to begin.
What to Do...What

Nessiah, after lunch, made her way back to the Hufflepuff common room. She was getting more and more bored by the minute. There just seemed to be nothing to do.
As she entered the common room, Nessiah collapsed on the floor. She closed her eyes and sighed.
What to do...What to do...
She opened her eyes and looked around. It was really quiet in there. But then again, it seemed to be rather empty. She closed her eyes again and went back to chanting in her mind...
What to do...What to do...

At lunchtime, I take my place at the staff table following the Hogsmeade trip. The visit gave me time to relax. I was surprised, but really happy to meet Dierna ní Cíaran, an old friend from school and Lily Potter's. Seeing her gave me the chance to tell her what really happened. However, my mind right now is full of thougts. Dierna's words echo in my mind: If Sirius kills Peter he will be destroying all chances of him clearing his name. . . More than anything, I want Sirius to be cleared and Pettigrew to get what he deserves. However, I have no idea where either are. I have lunch, trying to ponder those questions. Hopefully, all will fall into place. . .
A Quick Lunch
Author: Amelia Davis
Date: 01-25-02 22:42
Sometime after Herbology, Amelia headed down to the Great Hall for some lunch. When she got there, she took her place at the Gryffindor table, sitting next to her little sister. "Hey Julz!"
"Hey Mia!" Juliet said to her older sister. "How was Herbology??"
"Oh..." Amelia leaned on the table. "It was okay but we need to start something new..."
Juliet laughed. "Ahh Mia...you never like to stay with anything long!"
"Well who would?"
Mindy, Juliet's friend, joined in the laughter this time. "Julz you got an interesting sister..."
"Why thank you!" Juliet grinned. "She's the best!"
"Awww..." Amelia rolled her eyes, grabbed a couple more bites to eat, and stood up. "Well I'm off...gotta find something to do for the rest of the day! Cya Mindy! Cya sis!"
"Bye Mia!"
"Cya Sissy!"
Amelia laughed and made her way to the Gryffindor common room.

Dierna stood up and brushed the dirt off her gardening robes. She has got up early that morning to de-gnome her garden. Compared with the huge fields she had to maintain on her farm in Ireland, the task was short, and nearly invisible.
Dierna went back inside, however, her Kneazle was sleeping on the robes she had set out and simply REFUSED to move. Finally Dierna gave up and put on a robe of a deep purple and a matching cloak, which she attached by a silver Celtic knottwork pin.
Dierna then collected a few items and disapparated.
Sykra's State

I skip into the lunch hall, eager to join my friends. When I sit, I find Sykra is a semi-comatose, dazed state. Is she still stunned from Hogsmeade? She doesn't reply to comments from either myself or Cho . . . so I decide to put the old stand by to test: I throw a glass of cold water on her.
It works. Sykra comes to with a start and unappreciative comments. Sheesh! She did the same thing to Sammi on the train!!
Then she comments about some guy . . . I look around but can't really see anyone. After all, there are hundreds of people all looking in different ways. So what's so unusual about one guy?
"AH. Sykra? Where is this guy? Are you sure you are OK? Maybe you should go to the Hospital Wing . . . get your head checked or something" I grin at that last comment's double meaing, then again start laughing.

Kalgrie held her hand out to each delegate greedily, occasionally buttering them with compliments and overblown politeness. Lludd Alfred watched it all from a window of the castle. The last of the changes had been preformed on the Quidditch pitch to add thousand new seats, the charms on the basilica's ceiling had been completed, and the commencing ceremonies were ready. Slowly the hotels began to fill as flags and symbols of nationalities appear above each segregated hotel's entrance.

See Him!

She almost yells the above before turning around quickly back to Sykra and Aradia and laughing at herself, "That's Orlando Devons, he's a 7th year Hufflepuff. Was a good friend of Cedric's," small smile, "I think he likes you!" She laughs, turning slightly and waving at Orlando.
Sykra's jaw just about hits the floor, "You *know* him?"
Cho shrugs, "Close your mouth, you're catching flies. I know him a little bit. Why? Is Sykra getting a crush too?" She giggles, nudging Aradia.
Aradia starts giggling too, "Oo-Oh. Sykra and Orlando sittin' in a tree..."
Cho continues, "K-i-s-s-i-n-g." Giggles turn to almost uncontrollabe laughter before she can finally finish her lunch.

"Okay, that's it. I'm going..." Sykra stood up and started to walk away. "Got class ya know? 'N' yeah..."
"Sit back down!" Cho reached out and sat her back down. "You're done with classes for the day!"
"So...I could do homework..."
"Sykra's gotta crush..." Aradia chanted softly.
"No, I don't!" Sykra blushed. "I jus' didn't like how he kept starin' over here...wos freaking me out! Jeeze..."
Cho looked at Aradia who giggled and nodded. She grinned, winked at Sykra then turned to the Hufflepuff table. And before Sykra could protest...Don't you dare!
"Hey, Orlando!!!! Come 'ere for a sec!"

Ancient Runes
Author: Pete Marsh
Date: 01-26-02 17:12
Pete was fascinated by runes. He just sort of ate that subject up.
"Professor Sorcha? Which rune layout do you prefer? Is the three rune method, for example, better than the seven rune method?"
Hey Cho!
Author: Orlando Devons
Date: 01-26-02 20:36
He stands and walks over, hands sliding into his pockets, "How are ya Cho?" He grins, looking to her friends and nodding, "'Ello, 'm Orlando." He offers a hand to Sykra first, "Y'are?"
She gets a little big-eyed, shaking his hand like a wet fish, barely able to get her name out of her mouth, "Sykra...Sykra Sawyer."
He nods, "Pleasure to meet you!" He turns and offers his hand to Aradia who is for some reason having a large fit of giggles, "And you are?"
She smiles, shaking his hand, "Aradia Forest. The pleasure's mine."
He grins, turning to Cho again who speaks, "I'm great, you?" They chatter back and forth for a bit before he has to leave to clean up. Cho turns to her friends with a sly smirk, "Guess what...We can all meet in the gardens in an hour after we do our homework." She pats Sykra on the head before standing and heading off, "You're welcome dearie." She winks to Aradia and they giggle walking out of the Great Hall, Sykra running to catch up.
Sykra's Sweetheart
Author: Aradia Forest
Date: 01-26-02 21:59
Much to Skyra's dismay Cho calls over the young man and introduces her and me to the young man in question: Orlando Devons. He seems a friendly, good-natured guy. That makes sense, he is Hufflepuff, after all. We shake hands and I introduce myself between fits of giggles...
"Aradia Forest. Pleasure's all mine"
We talk for a bit, then have to run to classes, but decide to rendezvous. Jut for good nature I send a stream of heart-shaped bubbles around Sykra. I wink at Cho then grab my bag and head for class, still laughing. Poor Sykra. We really are mean to her . . . in a nice way, of course!
8-9 AM Love
in Charms Class
Author: Hermione Granger
Date: 01-26-02 22:00
In Charms class the next day, Hermione was extremely careful not to doodle hearts onto her paper like she had the day before. This time, she didn't have Harry sitting between her and the inspiration for those cute little hearts. No, this time she had to be extra sure that she not doodle because she was sitting next to him. Next to Ron, the boy she just couldn't stop thinking about.
Why him? What's so special about this red-headed friend of hers? To be honest, Hermione hadn't the slightest idea. Sure, he was nice to her. Sometimes, anyway. More lately, than ever, that's for sure. And he was very thoughtful. She still hadn't gotten over how sweet he was on her birthday. She kept the photo album he had given her under her pillow, but she didn't dare tell that to the boys. She was pretty sure that none of her roommates even knew, except maybe Majandra.
Last night, Hermione couldn't sleep so she pulled out the album and crawled out of bed. She found a comfortable spot next to the big window closest to her four-poster, and sat there going through each individual page by moonlight for the millionth time. She always found herself staring at a picture of Ron, in which he was smiling and running a hand through that red hair of his. He was cute.
She had sat there in a lustful daze for a little while, when suddenly a noise in the room snapped her back to reality. She could hear clicking noises from the other side of the four-poster bed that was positioned in between the windows. Click. Click. Click.
What on earth is that? Hermione had wondered, carefully shutting the album and getting to her feet. She peered over the bed and found a figure huddled by the window, working franctically on something. A ball of yarn lay at her feet and ever so often the girl would mutter something about her Dobby Wobby. Hermione was pretty sure that Majandra hadn't even noticed that she had been out of bed, but she couldn't be positive. Even if she had noticed, she was too occupied with her latest crush to comment about it.
As she sat there next to him in class, she had to bite her lip from smiling and she practically had to sit on her hand so that she wouldn't end up scribbling "I love Ron" all over her paper. She hadn't heard a word Prof. Flitwick said because of all that day dreaming, but for once she didn't care. There was something seriously wrong with her. Hermione was in love.
