"All Aboard! All Aboard for Paris, France!" Said a conductor at the Ninth Platform. "All Aboard! All Aboard for Edinburgh, Scotland," Said a conductor at the Tenth Platform. "Come with me, Christopher," my mom said pulling me straight towards a wall and emerged at Platform 9 and 3/4. "'Ello, welcome tuh da 'Ogwarts Express!" said a kind man in a cockney accent. I saw three grown men in robes, acting strange. I stepped on the train as others boarded.

Shovin' Off for Hogwarts
Author: Eithne Pendragon
Date: 11-24-01 17:48

Eithne walked nonchalantly into King's Cross Station with her father, ticket for the Hogwarts Express in hand. She was wearing Muggle clothes again, so that she wouldn't stand out in the huge crowd.

Well, it wasn't like she wouldn't stand out anyway -- what with all her trunks and Jareth, her owl, coming along with her. But she didn't seem to be fazed by it.

The two of them ran into the wall between Platforms 9 and 10 as if it was something they did every day, and soon they were standing before the big red train that would transport Eithne to another term at Hogwarts.

Eithne watched as parents kissed their children goodbye, and she did likewise with her father.

"Yes Dad, I promise, I'll owl you as soon as I get there." Eithne reassured her father, smiling.

"I'm just worried about you, kid, that's all. With You-Know-Who out and about again...."

"I know. But don't forget, I'll be at Hogwarts. And everybody knows that's one of the safest places to be right now."

Eithne exchanged laughs with her father, then looked through her belongings to see if she had everything. Owl, bewitched laptop, robes, books, parchment, ink (indigo, her favourite colour), quills, Firebolt. She nodded, glad that everything was in its place.

She looked around at the students for familiar faces. She could tell exactly which ones were the first-years by the nervous expressions etched all over their faces. She wondered which of them would end up in her House.

The conductor shouted out last call, so Eithne hurried up and boarded the train. After changing into her robes, she bought a pumpkin juice and a bag of Every-Flavour Beans from the cart, and started looking for an empty seat ...

She hugs her parents and goes at the platform barrier at a run, laughing slightly. She grins, she couldn't wait to get back to school, her spirits not even dampened by the fact that this was her last year.

Making sure her things are safely stowed away, she gets into a compartment and takes a window seat, always fascinated as people came through the barrier.

"Now Christopher, mind you manners and do what your professors say!" my mom said. "Yes, mom" I said. "And don't do what you did in Cowboils!" she said. "Yes, mom," I said. "Do you have Bucky with you?" she asked. "Yes, mom," I said holding up my black cat wearing an Ohio State cap. "Is that your cat?" said a female voice. "Yea, his name is Bucky," I said. "I'm Alicia Spinnet," she said. "Chris Lostark, I go by Lostark which is my mom's maiden name," I said. "Cool, I'm a chaser for Gryffindor, ever seen a Quiddich game?" she asked. "No, lived in the states most of my life. I was told my father, whoever he is, went to Hogwarts" I said. "I wish Cho would get here! She is a seeker for Ravenclaw, " she said. "A Ravenclaw seeker? My ex was one!" my mom said eavesdropping. "I didn't know that, what year?" I said looking at my mom who realized she didn't want me to know who my father was. I wonder why? "Did you see those strange men? I thought I heard them talk about some garlic groves and a MVR System," I said. "Oh I heard Dr. Endikut our new D.A.D.A. teacher got it from a Japanese wizard. It's the newest in Magical Virtual Reality," she said.

Still a bit frustrated with her father Sam replies in a harsh tone. "Nothing...Absolutely nothing."

"You alright, Sam?" Cho asked.

Sam took a deep breath. "Yea. Me 'fathar' is jus' being a bum tha's all." She looked over at Cho noticing a slight grin on her face. "What?"

Cho chuckles and begins to tell her about the wager...

"Well...I made a little wager with the Weasley twins. As I'm sure you already know, the last Quidditch match this year is Ravenclaw v. Gryffindor. The bet is that if Gryffindor wins, I have to do their homework for a month...But if Ravenclaw wins, they can't pull any pranks for a month. Basically they'd have to behave." Cho grins wickedly for once then looks at the train, "You want to get on or just look at it?"

"Excuse me." Sykra tapped on Sam's shoulder. "Samantha Thatcher, right?"

Sam looked at her shoulder, then at Sykra. "Yah tha's m..Oh! Hiya Sykra! Would yeh like ta join us on the train?"

"Would I ever!" Sykra replied. "Who's your friend?"

"I'm Cho Chang." The two nodded. "Shall we?" Cho gestured for the train.

"Ye two go a'ead." Sam said. "I need ta get some'in'. I'll be thar in a'min'."

"Ok, Sam!" Cho and Sykra boarded the train.

Tricks on the Train
Author: Fred Weasley
Date: 11-26-01 05:21

"So George, you gonna do any swotting for the exams this year?" Fred asked, pushing his baggage cart through Kings Cross Station.

"Now Fred, do you really think I'd pull an all-noighter for exams?" George replied, raising an eyebrow.

"I would hope that you two would think to study plenty beforehand, instead of waiting until the last possible minute!" Mrs. Weasley chirped, shaking her head at the twins.

"Oh, Mum. Don't be so stroppy."

"Freeeeed!" In an instant, Mr. Weasley had Fred by the collar. "Watch it, Son!"

"Yessir!"

They approached the wall between platforms 9 and 10. "Ginny, you go first dear," Mrs. Weasley said. After Ginny had disappeared into the wall, Fred went through, followed by George.

"Wonder when Ron will show?" Fred mused, as the three redheads boarded the train.

"Ron'll be 'ere with his friends. Not to worry," George said, mainly to comfort Ginny. Ginny didn't seem to care, and soon ran off to sit with some friends of her own.

"Well, she seems 'appy to be rid of us," Fred snorted, settling himself into an empty compartment.

George took the opposite seat. "I wonder 'ow much trouble we can get into today!"

"Plenty. Can you believe Cho? She really thinks that we're gonna 'ave to give up our tricks! There's no way we're losing to Ravenclaw," Fred stated matter-of-factly.

"There isn't a doubt in my mind that you'll lose to Slytherin!" Draco sneered, poking his head into the compartment.

"Oh stuff it, Malfoy!" George shot back. Malfoy simply smirked again, before heading off to find a compartment for himself.

Onwards to Hogwarts
Author: Aradia Forest
Date: 11-26-01 05:41

My first impression boarding the Hogwarts Express is that what should be a happy time has overtones of nervousness...even fear. Parents seem to be nervous to let their children go, yet relieved that since they MUST go, it's at Hogwarts. It's a well know fact that the only person Voldemort (You-Know-Who) fears is Professor Dumbledore, who is the Headmaster and with good reason. Even in the middle of the New Forest I and my kind have heard disturbing rumours of YKWs return and that Death-Eaters are suddenly becoming active once again.

Yes, there is reason for anxiety.

My kin are with me as I leave for my first year at Hogwarts. They part me with words of advice:

"Make us proud, daughter. Stay well and remember your heritage."

"Be alert for danger. HE has been approaching our clan, I have heard. They all refused, of course but now we are targets. Be alert, Aradia. I know you will excel."

I listen and glance around me before responding

"I will be cautious, and I will make you proud. This is what I have been wanting for years. I will not let you down." I hug my family and bid them goodbye. Then I turn around and steer my baggage cart onto the train and search for a place to sit.

The Journey Begins
Author: Hermione Granger

Harry, Hermione and Ron one by one jumped through the wall to get to platform 9 3/4.

"All aboard!" A conductor called out, ushering the remaining students bound for Hogwarts onto the train. The best friends boarded the Hogwarts Express immediately with their luggage and pets in tow.

"Here's an empty compartment," Hermione declared, leading her friends inside. Ron immediately chose to share a seat with Hermione, while Harry opted to sit across from them. The owl cage was set on the seat next to Harry, and Pigwidgeon was pleased to be his seatmate for the long ride to Hogsmeade Station. Crookshanks chose to walk about the compartment while the three friends began to discuss the start of the new term.

"Wonder who will be our new Defense Against the Dark Arts teacher?" Harry pondered, pushing Crookshanks off his lap after he decided to park it there.

"I don't know," Ron shrugged, remembering that every year Hogwarts seemed to get a new teacher for that class.

"Well whoever he or she is, I hope we actually learn something in that class," Hermione interjected, pulling Crookshanks into her lap.

"Sometimes you're just too serious about school, Hermione," Ron said, frowning at the ginger cat.

"It's important, Ron. We aren't at Hogwarts to joke around, you know. I want to learn everything there is to know, which reminds me...Now that we're alone, Harry, the golden box had a message for you..."

Treats

She settles in a compartment with Sykra before changing into her robes. She grins, buying plenty of treats off the cart to share with her friends, "So Sykra, what house are you in? Interested in Quidditch?"

When Push Comes ta Shove
Author: Samantha Thatcher

"Better get aboard miss. Train's leavin' in a few. I'll take care of your luggage."

Sam smiled. "I know sir. Jus' need ta get me money bag." She reached into one of her suitcases and pulled out a drawstring bag that looked like a ball of fire. "Thank yeh muchly sir!"

The man smiled and nodded as Sam headed for the train. Course once inside she realized she had no idea what compartment Cho and Sykra was in. "Buggar.." She muttered.

As she passed by the compartments she peeked inside each one. Then without realizing what happened, Sam was shoved into one of them, falling backward onto a cute freckle-faced boy about her age.

"Out of the way!!" Demanded the short punk who shoved her.

"BAGGAR!! YOU GIT!!" Sam yelled after him, unaware of whom she had the pleasure of landing upon...

Going to Change into My Class Robes

I walked into the men's bathroom on the train. But the bathroom was too small for me. I guess that is what I get for putting a basketball in a golf hole. "Hey, hurry up! I need to go to the bathroom!" said a whiny student. I still had to remove my jacket. I pulled and pulled trying to get my jacket off. I gave it one big yank and smashed through the door, flattening the student waiting to use the bathroom.

"Ouch, get off of me! You big oaf!" said the whiner. "Sorry," I said picking up the kid, the remains of my jacket and the door. "Watch what you are doing!" the whiner said pushing me aside to enter the bathroom. He tossed my robe at me, "Is that a wizard robe? Or a circus tent!" he sneered.

I placed the door back on the hinges and transfigured the door into The Doors or carbon copy of them. "Ah! The Lizard King is after me!" the whiner said running away. I smirked and threw on my robe.

Sykra changes into her robes as well. "I'm in Ravenclaw." Sykra smiles. "And I love Quidditch..'cept I tend to fall off my broom sometimes...." Sykra and Cho laugh.

Grins

She laughs as she tastes a treat, "Well you'll have plenty of time to practice before our first match if you make the team. We'd better win against Gryffindor...I'd prefer not to do Fred and George's homework for a month...I think the teachers would get suspicious." Giggles.

Re: Grins

Sykra giggles and tastes some of the treats. "I'd love to make the team but I just KNOW I'm not good enough." Sykra sighs, "Living in the Muggle world I don't get to practice much. 'N' even though my parents would probably find a place for me to practice more. I don't like to bother 'um. If I had more practice I probably wouldn't fall off as much as I do." Sykra smiles, then laughs. "Oh well! But anyways, what position do you play in Quidditch?"

The Door
Author: Lostark The Rude
Date: 11-27-01 06:07

The Transfigured door started to move and act like The Doors. I transfigured most of the Doors back, except for the Jim Morrison copy. "I am the Lizard king!" yelled the copy as it ran through the train. I made a wooden person! And I'm also in trouble. The copy raced from car to car, singing The End. I raced after the copy from car to car, "Was that a wooden Jim Morrison, being chased by a 7ft 16 year old?" Hermione said to her friends. They all shrugged and focused the Golden Box. I passed through another car. "Was that Jim Morrison being chased by a giant?" Aradia Forest said to herself. We entered the engineer's cabin, "Sorry, you can't come in here," said the engineer. "Tell that to Jim here. I've been trying to get him back to where he belongs," I said. "Allow me," said the engineer turning Jim Morrison into wood and tossed the wood in the engine fire. "Now get beck to your seat." "Thank you sir," I said heading back.

Girl Trouble
Author: Fred Weasley
Date: 11-27-01 18:23

"Sod it!" Fred exclaimed when the girl landed in his lap. "Oh..." His tone changed immediately when he recognized the girl as being the one he had collided into at Diagon Alley.

"I'm fine, thanks," Samantha answered, before Fred could even ask.

"Um...tha- that's smashing!" Fred said, staring into her green eyes.

"Perhaps I should leave you two alone?" George asked, grinning. "You two could get some quality snogging done in this compartment!"

Fred narrowed his eyes at George while Samantha blushed. Fred roared, "Get out!"

"Alroight then," George said, starting to get up from his seat.

"Not you!" Fred exclaimed, rolling his eyes. "You," He said softly, shifting his gaze back to Samantha, who was still situated in his lap.

"Oh..." Samantha slowly got up, straightening her clothes before leaving the compartment.

Fred's gaze was fixed on the door of the compartment for moments afterwards, until George snapped him out of it. "You're snookered now, Fred. You won't 'ave a chance with 'er after kicking 'er out like that!"

"Wot makes you think I want 'er, George?" Fred shook his head and reached into his bag for a chocolate frog.

"Oh come on, Fred," George laughed, "You keep making googly-eyes at 'er. You like 'er!"

"I don't even know the girl," Fred said, unwrapping the chocolate frog, "Let's jus' drop this."

"Fine," George said, snatching the frog from Fred. "Let's concentrate on causing trouble!"
