Easter Sunday
Author: Dobby
Date: 09-01-02 11:13

Several exhausted House Elves sit draped in various positions in chairs and on couches in one of the many rooms of Hogwarts Castle. The weary Dobby gives a happy sigh at what he considers to be a job well done. Scattered in piles around the room are hundreds of now empty baskets.

A few weeks ago Dobby had been reading about Muggle holiday traditions. One that caught his eye was a detailed account of how in some Muggle cultures decorated eggs (boiled real ones, candy, and candy filled) are hidden so that the Muggle children could hunt for them.

Intrigued with the thought of gaily dyed eggs of all sorts, Dobby had started experimenting. Though he would have loved to use real eggs he finally decided candy and candy filled ones would be best in case some weren't found right away.

He enlisted the help of Winky and a few others and in the wee hours between Saturday night and Sunday morning, the House Elves hid several thousand eggs. They'd then left notes about the eggs to be hunted at every place setting in the great hall.

Dobby sits up, takes stock of the baskets piled high around the room and slaps himself on the forehead. Jumping up he exclaims to the others, "We-uns no be done. Dobby was forgettin' the baskets. Weeze gotta put em on the tables!"

With that, Dobby grabs a handful of basket and runs off in the direction of the great hall, the other House Elves hot on his heels.

Easter Morning Breakfast
Author: Minerva McGonagall
Date: 09-01-02 22:16

It's Easter Morning and Minerva McGongall makes her way down to the Great Hall for breakfast. As she enters the Hall she notices little brightly colored notes placed at the table settings.

She notices some of the students holding them and whispering to each other, downing a quick bit of breakfast and dashing out excitedly with their baskets. I wonder what all this is about?

Minerva takes a seat at her normal spot, bidding Dumbledore a good morning and Happy Easter. "Minerva, my dear. Do you see this? Isn't it wonderful?" Dumbledore asked cheerfully, chuckling as he held a brightly wrapped egg in his hand. He unwrapped it and bit into a chocolate egg with caramel in it.

"Hmm," Minerva picked up the note in her plate and read it.

Decorated candy and candy filled eggs
have been hidden all over the school and
its grounds. Enjoy! Happy Easter!

She chuckled. "An Easter egg hunt?"

"Candy Easter egg hunt. Here, have one!" Dumbledore's eyes sparkled as he laughed as he handed over an egg wrapped in pink foil. Minerva took it from him and unwrapped it. She bit into the chocolate and there was a cherry filling inside.

"How very tasty! The student will enjoy this!" Minerva said smiling, but chose to put down the egg until after she had eaten a proper breakfast.

Dumbledore bubbled over with laugher. "Come along, Minerva! Have a bit of fun, come with me to hunt some candy eggs after breakfast. Please?"

McGonagall couldn't refuse her old friend. "All right. But only for a little while!"

"Then it's settled!" The two professors shared in another laugh and began to eat a healthier type of breakfast.

Eggs'r Good Fer Ya
Author: Rubeus Hagrid
Date: 09-01-02 22:54

Hagrid bent down and picked up a candy egg on the front Hogwarts steps. He unwrapped the foil wrapping and popped it into his mouth.

"Fow'n a'nether 'un." He said as he swallowed.

Harry laughed. "Hagrid, how do you expect to win if you keep eating them all?"

Harry, Ron, Hermione and Hagrid had set up a little game - whoever found the most eggs bought the others butter beer the next Hogsmeade trip.

"I can't help it! Ther jus' too good!" He found another hidden in a tuft of grass. But getting a stern look from Hermione, decided to place it in his basket. "Look, Fang foun' one!"

The four went to see that Fang found a nook in the side of the castle steps.

Boof! Boof! Boof! Fang barked. "Good boy, Fang. Thanks for the tip!" Hermione patted the large bloodhound on the head and pulled out four candy eggs for their baskets.

"Wow, it's a gold mine!" Ron said excitedly as he placed a yellow, foil-wrapped egg into his basket where some others lay. He waited for Hermione to put a green one in her basket before he took her hand again.

"Hmmm," Hagrid though as he stroked his bushy beard. "Le's go look down over by t'green 'ouses. Whatcha think?"

"Sounds great!" The three Gryffindor students chimed in at once and they headed off down to the green houses, a happy Fang bounding like a deer behind them.

The Public Library
Author: Marina Sanjarya
Date: 09-02-02 11:44

"Oh my..." said Marina. "Not today, please."

Marina was walking on the streets of Hogsmeade, holding a thick book in her left hand. Her eyes rolled to her new property: a two floors discrete building, with old looking walls. In fact, that was an old building that was abandoned for a long time, nobody wanted to rent or buy it, until Marina arrived in Hogsmeade.

There was a grumpy midget in mechanic clothes in front of the main door. Marina approached to him, looking to a lot of wooden boxes he was bringing in a magical flying container.

"Er...hello. How can I help you?" asked Marina, shy.

"Darr...I brought your books, miss."

"My books? You had to deliver it on a Sunday?"

"Well," the midget looked in a list of deliveries. "You are Marina, aren't you? I have your photo here."

"Yes, I am. So these are the books?" said Marina, stepping slowly toward the crates.

"Yeah. Well, my job here is done, bye." The midget turned 90¡ on his little feet, and began to walk away. Marina shouted, as he was almost disappearing in middle of a bunch of people.

"Hey, wait! Who will take these books in there?" and pointed the library.

"You, of course. Buh-bye."

Marina turned back and saw the huge amount of boxes she would have to open, and arrange all the books that were inside.

"I love this work...well, not THIS work, but later, when everything is done, it will be lovely. Better to sort all now, to be open tomorrow."

She took a last view of the entire building before entering it. In a few hours, all the books were in their respective places, ordered by title, date and category.

"Well done. Let's just wait the students," said Marina, alone, on the center of her new library.

Happy Easter
Author: George Weasley
Date: 09-02-02 14:17

George practically skipped every second step as he rushed down to the Gryffindor Common Room to see if Majandra was up yet. He was right! She was sitting in an over-stuffed chair, reading a book.

"It's a holiday! What're ya reading for?" George asked as he plucked the book from he hands, careful not to lose her place.

Majandra jumped up out of the chair, jumping to try and snatch the book from him. "George...Mmph...George! Please, C'mon, George! Pleaaaaaaase? Give me my book back!"

"Only if I get a kiss first." George said triumphantly as he held the book high over both his and Majandra's head. He leaned down and closed his eyes, and just then the book disappeared from his grip. "Hey! Wait!"

Majandra was dashing off and he chased after her. "You didn't say please!" She giggled as she dodged behind the scarlet couch.

"Please?"

"Nope." She moved to one side of the couch.

George followed. "Please?"

"Nope." She moved in the opposite direction.

George whined as he tried to head her off. "Pleaaaaaaaase, Maj?"

"Nope." Majandra laughed making a loop around the couch and up the girls dormatory stairs.

He followed her.

"George! You're not allowed on this side!" Majandra practically squealed as George pinned her against the wall.

He grinned evilly. "I know." And he leaned in and kissed her lips. Majandra dropped her book and leaned into his kiss. They separated after a moment.

"Wow." Majandra said as she bent to pick up her book.

George grinned again and produced a little stuffed, fuzzy, yellow chick with a baby blue bow. "Happy Easter."

Easter at the Burrow
Author: Bill Weasley
Date: 09-02-02 19:31

"Tea, dears?"

Molly Weasley came bustling over to Bill and Adriana, who sat cozily together on the couch in the small living room of the Burrow.

"Yes, thank you," said Adriana pleasantly, accepting a cup from Molly's hand.

Bill took the other plain white china cup, bringing it to his lips for a sip of the steaming tea. Then, he set it down on the wooden coffee table and turned to the redheaded man sitting on the arm of the green lazy-boy chair to the left of the couch. "I'm glad you could make it, Charlie." His gaze dropped to the pretty woman actually sitting in the chair. "And you too, Helena." He smiled, wrapping an arm around Adriana's shoulders.

"I'm glad Charlie invited me, Bill." Helena returned Bill's warm smile and gave Charlie a playful slap in the arm with the back of her hand. "He insisted I come and spend the holiday with his family since I had no where else to be. It's a shame Briar couldn't come. I found her very nice."

Adriana choked back something in her throat, but Bill didn't realize that it was directed against Helena's comment about Briar. "She's a very sweet woman. Unfortunately, she had other plans for today." This time, it was Bill's turn to make a funny noise in his throat. He really didn't like Briar hanging out with the likes of Julian Valentine, but there was little he could do about it.

"I know I've already mentioned this today, Helena, but it really is a pleasure finally getting to meet you," Adriana said with a smile. "I've heard much about you."

"All good things, I hope." Helena sent Charlie a smirk, who returned it with great passion.

Adriana laughed, "Well..."

The four young adults erupted into a round of giggles. During the Christmas season prior to Bill's disappearance, when Charlie had been trapped in quarantine with Helena he had written Bill several letters about her, all shedding her in a rather unflattering light. She complained too much, she needed a serious attitude adjustment, and she was a flatout bitch. Helena had known then that Charlie didn't like her much, but towards the end of their confinement, both had learned to live with each other. Now, so many months later, they were actually friends. Bill was starting to believe that something a little more than friendship was just around the corner for those two.

Molly Weasley came bustling back into the room with a tray of sweets, all of which looked very delicious. She found a spot on the couch next to Adriana and Bill, and when Arthur entered the room, he took a seat in the armchair across from them.

"Where's Percy?" asked Bill, after swallowing a few bites of Easter cake.

Arthur pushed his glasses up the bridge of his nose with his index finger and explained, "He's spending the day with Penelope in London."

"I hope those two don't get any ideas about marriage yet," said Charlie, concentrating on his piece of cake. "They really shouldn't rush into anything."

Bill cast Charlie a long glance, reading clearly the pain in his eyes regarding that doomed relationship with the astronomy professor.

"Marriage is over-rated anyway," added Helena, poking at her piece of cake with her fork.

Molly chuckled and interjected, "I beg to differ!"

Helena sent her a small smile, but as Bill's gaze shifted to Helena's face, he noticed that she, too, must have had a serious relationship gone wrong. Her smile quickly faded and a sudden look of anger clouded her face. In a flash, however, it was gone.

Bill cleared his throat and changed the subject, "So, can you believe that Fred and George are soon to be Hogwarts graduates?"

The Incredible, Edible Egg!
Author: Fred Weasley
Date: 09-02-02 19:45

Fred slipped into the Great Hall, finding a note at his place on the Gryffindor table. He read through it once, then twice, and then he looked around the room where he observed several other students running around the room with colorful baskets in their hands.

His gaze shifted back to the table and found a bright green basket just beckoning for him to take it. So, he did.

Forgetting about breakfast, or lunch, or whatever meal he was supposed to be eating, he scrambled about with his bright green Easter basket in search of eggs. He found one next to one of the feet of the Gryffindor table, and another hiding behind one of the torches hanging on the side of the cold, castle wall.

Eventually, his feet carried himself outside the Great Hall, and with eyes frantically darting about, he tried to increase his bounty. He found several more eggs–on the floor behind a wall-tapestry, underneath a coat of arms' foot, inside a loose stair–this Muggle tradition was making him completely giddy and at the same time quite greedy!

On the windowsill of one of the great stain-glass windows, the absolute, most marvelous egg he had ever seen was resting and waiting to be snatched. Fred rushed over and extended his arm. His hand was nearly wrapped around it, when suddenly, a smaller, whiter hand reached underneath his and grasped the egg!

"What the...?" Fred's hand clasped around the hand that was stealing his egg.

His head swiveled around to meet the owner of the thieving hand.

"Hiya, Fred," exclaimed Samantha. "Would yeh mind removin' yer 'and from mine? That's me egg, not yers."

Fred's eyes narrowed slightly, but a smile was playing on his lips. "Just who do you think you are? I saw the egg first. It's mine."

"Oh, no it's not!" Samantha replied hotly, her hand clenching more firmly around the spectacular egg. "If yeh 'aven't noticed, me 'and is on the egg, which means it's mine!"

"No, it's not"

"Yes, it is!"

"No, it's...fine! Take it!" Fred frowned as he glared at her.

Samantha shouted loudly, "Fine!"

For a few moments, neither one moved. Samantha's hand was still clutched firmly around the egg, and Fred's hand was still wrapped around hers.

"Well, are ya gonna let me 'ave it, Fred?" Samantha yelled, starting up the shouting match once more.

Fred boomed, "Just take the damn egg, already!"

"What is the meaning of this?" exclaimed another voice sternly.

Both heads turned and saw Professor Snape staring coldly at them.

"Erm...nothing, Professor Snape," answered Fred, finally removing his hand from Samantha's. Out of the corner of his eye, he saw her slide the egg into her basket. He grumbled inwardly.

Snape's hard gaze shifted from Fred's face to Samantha's, and then back to Fred's again. "Consider this a warning, Mr. Weasley. If I catch either one of you shouting in these corridors again, you'll both be serving detention in the dungeons. What a shame it would be if you could not graduate," continued Snape, a slight smile turning up the corners of his lips. "Yes, what a shame that would be. I'll not have either one of you causing a disturbance again. You both are quite aware of the consequences. Are we clear?"

Fred and Sammi simultaneously answered, "Yes, Professor Snape."

Snape's dark eyes flickered over both their faces one more time before he turned and walked away, his black robes billowing behind him.

Once he was out of earshot, Fred said, "He's one person I'm not going to miss after graduation."

Easter Bunnies in a Burrow
Author: Charlie Weasley
Date: 09-02-02 21:14

"So, can you believe that Fred and George are soon to be Hogwarts graduates?" Bill said seeming to break the awkward silence.

Molly immediately began to weep. "Oh, my babies are growing up!" She buried her face in her apron.

"Yeah, right proud of them, I am!" Charlie said, rolling his eyes at his mother's silly antics.

Arthur nodded and crossed the room to comfort his wife. "I'm proud of them too. Aww, there, there, Mother. Shh. You know those two will come running home whenever they get into trouble just like Bill and Charlie! Don't worry about it."

"Aww, Dad!" Bill and Charlie echoed each other as Adriana and Helena began to giggle at the thought of Bill and Charlie running home to their mummys.

Helena swallowed back her laugher. "Now, I like that image...Whenever we need help we always....always look for someone to help us....Even....even if it is our Mummys." She elbowed Charlie who narrowed his eyes at her but began to laugh as well.

"Oh...Oh, yes. Mummys are always there when you need them. Pooooor baby." Adriana pinched Bill's cheek.

Bill pulled back. "Hey now! That hurts! And Mum never pinched our...." Bill looked over to Charlie who was nodding at him. "She did pinch our cheeks?"

"Oh, no. Just yours, Dear. When you were just a baby, Bill, you were just a chubby little thing. You had the chubbiest little cheeks." Molly's tears had subsided and reached over and pinched his other cheek.

Bill jumped up from where he sat. "Hey! I'm surrounded!"

"Ooooh, Ickle Billy was a chubby wittle baby?" Adriana cooed at him as she reached up and took his hand to pull him back down next to her.

Bill frowned. "It doesn't count if I don't remember. Now...I want some more cake."

"Aw, cheer up, Bro. We're just having some fun!" Charlie said as Helena covered her giggles with her hand.

Bill had just swallowed a bit of cake when suddenly a wicked look crossed his face. "Charlie....what about your birthmark?" Bill sat back as his mother began to explain all about Charlie's birthmark.

"Oh, yes...it was in the shape of a heart. Well, it kind of looks like a heart, dear..." Molly Weasley began.

"Mom." Charlie said giving Bill the evil eye.

"Yes, dear. And it was just the cutest little thing..."

"Mom!" Charlie said again only louder.

"Yes, it was right on your -- "

By this time Helena's head was buried into Charlie's shoulder as she was gasping for air between laughs. Bill and Adriana were holding each other, wiping away tears of laughter, and Arthur had to brace himself on a chair.

"MOTHER!!!!"

"W - Charlie, dear. You don't need to yell!" Molly sniffed.

Arthur stopped laughing. "Charlie Weasley! You know better than to yell .... to yell at your mother!" He had to choke back a small laugh.

Charlie just sat there shaking his head as Bill, Adriana, Helena, his mother and dad erupted into piles of laughter once more. Some Easter this was turning out to be!

Easter morning, already. The year went by so fast, of course the fact that I was involved in quidditch helped the year speed by. I notice chocolate Easter eggs on my plate. After having breakfast I have my eggs, which are chocolate with caramel filling (Yummy!) After breakfast, Professor Dumbledore announces there will be a chocolate Easter egg hunt.
